Prostate cancer is a significant health concern for men worldwide, and efforts to prevent it focus on various factors such as diet, physical activity, and lifestyle modifications. Masturbation, a common sexual activity, has been associated with stigma and controversy in society. Previous studies have explored the connection between sexual activity and prostate cancer risk, with some anecdotal suggestions linking masturbation to the risk of prostate cancer.
A survey of current literature was conducted using academic databases to investigate the relationship between masturbation and prostate cancer risk. The study identified various articles discussing the protective effects of ejaculation through masturbation on prostate cancer risk, with age range being a significant variable in this relationship.
Findings from the literature review indicated that some studies reported a protective association between masturbation and prostate cancer risk, while others suggested causal links or found no significant relationship. Age range and frequency of ejaculation emerged as key factors influencing the risk of prostate cancer. However, there was inconsistency in survey design and data reporting among the studies.
