Welcome to Christ Church First School
At Christ Church, children are at the heart of everything we do, aiming to provide a nurturing and loving environment where they can flourish. Our school values focus on building a community that supports each child's growth and development, with an emphasis on Christian values like hope, generosity, and love. We prioritize strong relationships with both students and parents to ensure the best start for every child's educational journey (p.1).
Curriculum and Wilderness School
Our curriculum at Christ Church includes a mix of whole class teaching and themed activities to encourage independence and a love for learning. We offer specialist lessons in music, PE, and French to provide a well-rounded education for all students. Additionally, our Wilderness School program allows children to engage in outdoor activities like fire lighting and shelter building, connecting their learning to the natural world (p.2).
Special Educational Needs and Wellbeing
Christ Church First School welcomes all children, including those with special educational needs. Our dedicated SENCO and experienced staff ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive. Wellbeing is a top priority, with activities and support systems in place to help children feel happy, safe, and settled. From therapy dog Rusty to mindfulness lessons, we create a nurturing environment for all students (p.3).
