Offences such as failure to comply with licensing requirements, noise pollution, discharge of waste into Malaysian waters, open burning, and failure to prepare environmental impact assessments are subject to fines ranging from RM10,000 to RM1 million, along with potential imprisonment terms of up to 5 years.
