MUSIC IN PLYMOUTH ™ is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a spectacular event featuring the MINNESOTA ORCHESTRA, The OkeeDokee Brothers, and Charles Lazarus & The Steeles. The event will take place on July 6, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., with a variety of entertainment, activities, and concessions for all attendees to enjoy. The evening will culminate in a fireworks finale with hit songs from five decades of Music in Plymouth.
The Minnesota Orchestra, under the direction of guest conductor Chia-Hsuan Lin, will perform a diverse program including works by Antonín Dvořák, James Stephenson, and Ludwig Van Beethoven. The orchestra's rich history and partnership with conductor Osmo Vänskä have led to groundbreaking tours and collaborations, making it a leading ensemble in the music industry.
The Grammy Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers, Charles Lazarus, and The Steeles will captivate the audience with their unique musical styles. Soprano Karin Wolverton will perform the National Anthem, adding a touch of classical elegance to the event. The evening will also feature the unveiling of two new commissioned works of art, symbolizing the enduring legacy of Music in Plymouth.
