Welcome to ESYO's Magical Musical Sleigh Ride!

Welcome to our 2021-2022 season! Today, we are thrilled to present a special holiday treat featuring our Symphony and Jazz Orchestra players, accompanied by Madison VanDenburg and the talented Maestra Helen Cha-Pyo. The concert is enriched with a heartwarming children's narrative crafted by local author Vicki Dodd, taking the audience on a magical sleigh journey around the world. The story is narrated by Anne-Marie Gorman Doyle and brought to life by our musicians and actors Annabelle and Elliott Brin, showcasing the collaborative effort and generosity of many individuals who made this production possible.

ESYO Symphony Orchestra and Youth Jazz Orchestra

The Sleigh Ride Holiday Spectacular by ESYO features the Symphony Orchestra, Youth Jazz Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra on a musical journey filled with holiday favorites and a captivating story by author Vicki Addesso Dodd. American Idol finalist Madison VanDenburg will also join the performance, promising a delightful experience for the audience on December 19, 2021, at Proctors in Schenectady, NY.

The ESYO Experience

ESYO, the Empire State Youth Orchestra, continues to inspire over 600 talented youth from the Capital Region and beyond to achieve musical excellence through intensive instruction and high-level performances. With twelve performing ensembles and ESYO CHIME, the organization fosters a love for music in young community members, breaking boundaries and nurturing personal and musical growth. Beyond exceptional music, ESYO builds confidence, teamwork, and personal drive in its participants, preparing them for success in various fields, including music, college, and beyond.
