NOTE PRESIDENT – SAFREC Dear SAFReC Family, As the winter season settles in, we warmly welcome you to the Fourth SAFReC Edition. This year holds special significance for us, as SAFReC celebrates their 6 years of faithful service! What began as a vision rooted in prayer has grown into a movement of unity, dedication, and spiritual purpose. Each passing day, we are becoming more organized, more professional, and more intentional in how we serve both God and our communities. Our chaplains continue to shine as vessels of hope and comfort across the nation. New structures have been implemented, leadership teams are stronger, and communication channels are clearer than ever before. Together, we are building something that will last—not for our own glory, but for the Kingdom of God. Let us continue this journey forward, hand in hand, with hearts that seek His presence above all. SAFReC is a Christian-based organisation born from a vision of God to be part of the solution to reach out into a deteriorating world. This organisation was established in August 2018 as a non-profit company and has been active in local communities since 2019. SAFReC's Community Chaplains are volunteers with a calling from the LORD to become pillars in their community, being beacons of light, and nurturing hope in an unrelenting dark world. SAFReC undertakes to establish Community Chaplains providing spiritual and emotional refuge, protection and shelter for the vulnerable. Our goals are to network with like-minded organisations within South Africa and to expand our reach and network, nationally and internationally. OF THE PRESIDENT an Awesome, caring and Loving Father we serve, giving me a glimpse of the future to come. Like the Directors, I have been involved in Lily of the Valley Ministries for over 20 years as a member and counsellor, while working as a full-time forensic auditor for 36 years at SARS. Which I must say has taught me the fruit of patience all the while biding my time to step into my passion of serving Christ and the community on a full-time basis. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the mission of SAFReC make them well-suited for these important roles. We look forward to the continued growth and impact of our operational and support services under their guidance.
