Premium, world-leading, giving you the best return on your investment. It starts with the raw material – the finest high-grade 100% iron ore, free of impurities – which is then taken to world-leading processing plant to be turned into the premium steel wire used to make X Fence. An unobtrusive smooth surface X knot greatly reduces the risk of fleece removal or hide damage, this is a very popular mesh pattern used widely in the UK and is ideal for most types of livestock. Manufactured to BS EN 10223-5, exceeds BS EN 10244 Class A, wire produced to BS 4102. Standard galvanising processes use zinc-only coatings for the wire. X Fence is treated with a zinc/aluminium coating. Zinc-only coatings don’t provide the same levels of protection, making the steel less ductile and thus more prone to cracking when tying off. In addition to the Zinc/Aluminium coating, X Fence’s special process differs from other manufacturers as it ensures an even spread, whereas many others can leave an uneven finish which allows for patchy wear and rust.
