Dear Parents,

When I was a teenager, I had a radical experience with the Lord that changed everything for me. Summer camp can do just that, be a life-changing experience. That may have been true of your life, and we hope that will be true for your child this summer. Our team at YM360 works hard to give your church the camp experience at GENERATE that they desire and deserve. We are praying that will be true for your student during their week away. Here are prayers that we would encourage you to include as a part of this experience for your child: • Begin praying now for your child to experience the Lord in a real and recognizable way during their time at camp. • Pray for the adult leader that will be leading your child through the Bible study throughout their time at camp (we have included an overview for you on page 3). • Pray that your church will experience true bible community as a part of their time away and that community will be foundational to the coming season of their experience at your church. • Pray for your youth minister and all the work they do to plan and prepare. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom, energy, and passion for the kids from your church. • Pray for the camp communicator, worship leader, and GENERATE team that will be giving leadership while your students are at camp. • Pray that the Word will do the work during the week. We will work hard to focus on God’s Word and pray that it will be deposited in your child for years of return. We will be joining you in these prayers. We hope this week together has an amazing impact in your child, church and ultimately the world. Thank you for making this experience a reality for your child. We know expenses are a real thing in our world, and we want to make sure this experience is one worth investing in. We are grateful to partner with you in the process. Blessings. J. Roger Davis President | YM360 roger@ym360.com THEREFORE GOD HAS HIGHLY EXALTED HIM AND BESTOWED ON HIM THE NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY NAME, SO THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH AND UNDER THE EARTH, AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER. - PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11

The GENERATE Store also accepts cash and credit cards for all transactions. Village Bible STUDY OVERVIEW NO OTHER NAME THEME VIDEO! Worship is not only a few songs that you sing in Church on Sunday morning. Worship is the music that you sing along to on your way to school. Worship is not only bowing your head during prayer. It is also the time you spend with your head bowed, looking down at a screen. Worship is more than what we think it is. It is daily, and an ever-present part of our lives. There is only One who is worthy of our worship. When we feel joy or sorrow, there is No Other Name worth crying out to. Jesus Christ is not only our Savior, He is our Lord. His work on the Cross was to set us free from sin, not so that we could continue on as though nothing changed, but so that we could live a life of freedom from sin. No one else could do that, because No Other Name has that power. We worship God with praise for who He is. We worship with thanksgiving because of what He has done for us. We worship Him daily, because we know that He is alive and with us. And we worship out loud because we know the world is watching, and they desperately to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Session 1: WORSHIP THE NAME ABOVE EVERY NAME • What We Want Students to Learn: That God is the only one worthy of our worship. • Scripture: Isaiah 42:8, Psalm 63:1-4, Ephesians 1:19-21, Exodus 3:13-15, Psalm 8:1. • Session Snapshot: If you were to compile every language across every region and time, there would still only be one Name that reigns above all. Only one Name is worthy of praise. How we worship is important, but Who we worship is paramount. The more we discover of God’s holiness and wonder, the more we stand in awe of Him. Session 2: WORSHIP THE NAME THAT SETS US FREE • What We Want Students to Learn: That we worship the One who set us free from the penalty of our sins by offering His own life in our place. • Scripture: Acts 4:12, John 14:6, Isaiah 59:2 • Session Snapshot: Jesus is the only one who is able to offer an effective sacrifice for our sins, and He is the only thing that can be sacrificed for the sins of all. We worship Jesus because He has redeemed us. Before, we were dead in our sins. But through faith in Jesus, we are able to experience eternal life with God. Session 3: WORSHIP IMMANUEL, GOD WITH US • What We Want Students to Learn: That we were created to live with God and in worship of Him. • Scripture: John 4:24, Romans 12:1, Colossians 3:16, Psalm 51:14-17, 2 Corinthians 6:16. • Session Snapshot: The Garden of Eden. The Ark of the Covenant. The Temple. Jesus Christ. In a few short words, you can tell a story of God’s desire to be present with His people, and receive their worship. We were created for this! When we act as though God only receives our worship at camp or on Sunday morning, we miss out on the many opportunities to worship Him regardless of where we are or what we are up to. Session 4: OUR WORSHIP, OUR WITNESS • What We Want Students to Learn: Our worship is also a testimony to others about God’s character, His worthiness, and His love for humanity. • Scripture: 1 Kings 8:59-60, Hebrews 13:15, Psalm 42:5, Galatians 1:14-16 • Session Snapshot: Worship is not about us. It can be tempting to worry that others will judge us by how well we sing, how many resources we give, or even how professional we speak. But when we worship, it all comes down to what our actions and words say about the One we are worshipping. It doesn’t matter how beautifully you can sing the Name of Jesus, it matters that others can hear His name for the first time and be saved! 6 3

GENERATE

Guidelines Packing List GENERATE has the potential to be life-changing for everyone involved. It’s a time where God will be moving in students’ hearts, and in the heart of many others. But here’s the deal. For everyone to get the most out of GENERATE, there must be some expectations that everyone agrees to. Parents might call these rules. We prefer to call them guidelines. Here are a few of them. SAFETY. Safety is a top priority for us. All GENERATE staff complete background checks and MinistrySafe certifications, and we require background check verifications for all adult leaders. NOTHING ILLEGAL. All drugs, alcohol, guns, and weapons of any kind are prohibited at GENERATE. Fireworks, lighters, and any other explosives should also be left at home. Common sense, right? DRESS CODE. Life itself requires a dress code, and GENERATE is no exception. In an effort to minimize distractions, we do ask all attendees to avoid revealing clothing. Clothes that are too short, clothes that are too tight, and clothing that seems a little too transparent, all need to be left at home. Also, we ask for girls to wear modest one-piece bathing suits or a dark colored shirt over any two-piece. For the guys, we ask for no Speedo suits, pretty please. PRANKS. Not a good idea. Hard pass. (Even for the “fun” adults) SCHEDULE. Here’s the deal: students and leaders are expected to attend all the scheduled meetings and gatherings. But they should want to! It’s why they are there! Also, lights out means lights out. Students don’t have to be asleep, but do have to be in the room and quiet. No girls in guys’ rooms, and no guys in girls’ rooms. Oh, and unless they have permission, students and leaders should stay on campus at all times. DAMAGES. The campus where your students will be staying has been so gracious to host GENERATE this summer, and a great way to honor Christ is to take care of their spaces. If a student damages something or loses a room key, either the host campus or a GENERATE staff member will be in touch with the church to reconcile the charges due. Bottom line- encourage your students to respect the campus and be responsible. RESPECT OTHERS. This is super simple but easy to miss. Students should be kind. Encourage them to smile and make friends. And please make sure they pack deodorant. See? Simple. To Bring • Bible • Modest clothing for 5 days, including athletic clothing • Tennis shoes • Pillow and bed linens for twin-sized beds (unless otherwise told in your email with housing assignments) • Towels and washcloths • Any toiletries and medication (medications do not need to be turned in to GENERATE Staff) • Spending money for traveling meals, and snacks/souvenirs while at camp • Sunscreen • Alarm clock and personal fan • First Aid Kit OPTION SPECIFIC ITEMS • Dark Colored shirt for Water Day at CONNECT/GUIDE Recreation • Any supplies needed for your SERVE Site Placement To Not Bring • Weapons, tobacco products of any kind, alcohol or drugs of any kind • Fireworks • Silly string or water balloons • Bikinis or speedos • Girls – one piece bathing suits or tankini suits please • Guys – please make sure bathing suits are not too short • Clothing that is too tight • Clothing that suggests inappropriate behavior • Spaghetti strap, halter or tube top shirts • Shirts that expose the midriff • Skateboards, hoverboards, roller blades, etc. • Church leadership will determine cell phone restrictions HAVE FUN, AND LEARN LOTS. Camp is something that your students will remember their entire life. Expect the Holy Spirit to show them amazing things about God and about those attending. Have fun. Learn a lot. If they do these two things, GENERATE will have been a huge win for the students and leaders. 4 5
