MSMBC Mission Statement

The divine mission of the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church is to be a positive and effective witness, corporately and individually, for our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8). We are called to win lost souls unto the Lord through preaching the gospel, and to build up and to mature believing souls through preaching, teaching, prayer and fellowship. “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable Gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15). God’s Unspeakable

Gift to us is the Savior, Jesus Christ. We further proclaim Jesus Christ is LORD! It is ever my prayer that we, all of us, will continue to hold onto this confession of Christ. Our confession of faith firmly declares that Jesus is the only hope of eternal life, and of God’s salvation. There is no other way. Congratulations again to the several graduates of our church who were awarded diplomas, and degrees in recognition of their achievements. We salute you, and we pray for your continued successful endeavors. We are excited to welcome the return, after several years of absence, our summer camp for children and youth, newly named IGNITE IN CHRIST. The restoration of this summer ministry is made possible through your faithful and generous support of prayers and financial gifts. Gratitude to Sis. Gigi Bryant, Dr. Joshua Reese, and Sis. Kenedy Jobe for leading in this needed work. This is June, which means the adjustment of our usual schedule of weekly activities and ministries at Mt. Sinai through the summer months of June, July, and August. Please refer to our church website for timely information. Our teachers from school so many years ago would challenge us to summer readings, and other educational activities to maintain our levels of learning, and, hopefully, to prevent our regression. As Pastor, I will say the same to each of you, though our Bible Studies are now in summer recess, that you can maintain your spiritual growth, and even experience increase spiritually by your faithful prayers, and your personal reading, meditating, and studying the Word of God. It is clear and plain that God desires His children to grow spiritually. Give time and focus this summer to your spiritual health and spiritual development. God will be pleased. Set personal goals for this summer. Perhaps you may determine to read and study the gospels, or to read and study the first five books of the Bible, Genesis through Deuteronomy, or to spend 15 minutes of every day in prayer with the Lord. Often it is helpful to partner with a fellow believer, or a small group of believers, who will hold us accountable. Seek out a fellow believer that you trust to do just that. May the Lord bless you all to have a blessed summer. 4
