A symbol

A symbol that was portrayed in the story was that in Nimkis perspective, “it felt like the stars were watching him.” In Walters perspective he was learning about kepar-186f and he wondered if the boys that lived there were as lonely as him. In Erics perspective he lives on keplar-186f and is lonely like Walter wondered. These three boyas are all connected because Nimki is thinking the stars are watching him when it might be the people in keplar-186f looking down on earth because Nimki lives in around the 1600's and keplar is 490 light years away from earth, the image of earth keplar sees was earth 490 years ago because of the distance. When it comes to Walter and Eric, Walter is think about the boys living in Keplar and Eric is living in Keplar and wondering about the people on earth. At the time of eric looking down at the earth he could either be looking at Nimki or Walter depending on which year it takes place in.

The Theme

The theme of this story of this story is about how when you think about it, someone out there in the world, even though they might be hundreds of years away or on a different planet, they could be feeling the same feelings as you are. The theme is that no one is alone even if the other person isn’t part of your timeline.

The Theme

In the story each character had

similar internal conflict with being lonely and thinking that there was no one in the word who feels the same as them, or if someone in the world feels the same way as they do. For example, Nimki looked to the night sky and and thought about if someone out there in the world was feeling the same way he was feeling and how it felt like there was someone looking down on him Internal Conflict

In the story each character had

External Conflict

The external conflict would be how the boys felt so alone in the world and had no one to talk to. Yes each boy had an adult to talk to but none of them would understand how they would be feeling. Even if the boys talked out their feelings to the trusted adult, it wouldnt feel the same as talking to a kid their age experiencing the same things they were feeling

External Conflict

Physical Setting

For each of the settings of all three of the characters take place outside staring at the night sky. This is very relevent to the story because the stars are the reason why each of the characters feel some kind of connection whether its looking towards the future or the past or from a different planet. This is how each indiviual character is connected to eachother and nature.

Home Video Emotional Setting 01 The emotional setting would be how each of the boys saw how beautiful the night sky was while they were feeling sad. They were thinking about how they wished someone would understand how they were feeling. The night sky brought all the boys together in a way that they would never realize. It was like being connected by an invisable string. 02 About Me Contact

Home Video About Me Contact Indirect Characterization An indirect characterization for Eric would be that he wished his parents never came to Keplar. He didnt express that he was ungreatful for being on another planet and for his parents long journey, however he would always hint about how he wished he was his parents when they were younger and would still be living on earth. He wanted to be on Earth so bad that he just kept looking at Earth from a distance knowing that he might never go there. 01 02
