--from Pastor Shinya I’m currently sitting at Honolulu International Airport during a threehour layover before my flight to Tokyo. This trip is particularly poignant, as I’ll be attending my dad’s burial service—the final rite held in Japan to honor someone who has passed away. It’s been a long journey since we learned about his pancreatic cancer last November, navigating through treatment and holding his memorial service in June. I know many of you have faced similar experiences with your loved ones. unknown, who have contributed to the faith. On November 3rd, we will be holding an All Saints’ Day service, and I would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to all of you. Please consider bringing an item that represents your loved one(s) who have passed away. These items will be placed on the altar in the sanctuary during the service, creating a space for remembrance and honor.
