--from Pastor Shinya I’m currently sitting at Honolulu International Airport during a threehour layover before my flight to Tokyo. This trip is particularly poignant, as I’ll be attending my dad’s burial service—the final rite held in Japan to honor someone who has passed away. It’s been a long journey since we learned about his pancreatic cancer last November, navigating through treatment and holding his memorial service in June.
