As the supervisor of the Dental Legacy 2.0 magazine at the Faculty of Dentistry, USIM, I would like to extend my congratulations to the Editorial Board for successfully completing this magazine. The second edition of this annual magazine has shown improvements over the previous edition, with detailed explanations of each activity carried out by the students throughout the year. The addition of more sections for articles and writings also provides opportunities for both students and lecturers to enrich their writing. Throughout the year, various activities were conducted both within and outside the faculty, whether in the fields of education, research, or soft skills activities, all aimed at enhancing the value of USIM dental students. These activities were made possible by the dedication and guidance of our lecturers and staff who have tirelessly polished and mentored the students. Special thanks go to the Dental Student Club (DSC) for organizing many of these activities. The successive achievements by the students demonstrate that USIM dental students possess qualities comparable to those of students from other universities. May USIM dental students continue to advance in the future. As Allah says in Surah Al-Imran, verse 103: "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided..." We should also remember the Malay proverb, "United we stand, divided we fall." With unity, we will continue to achieve greater success. Congratulations to all USIM students, lecturers, and staff. A big congratulation to the Multimedia and Information Club of DSC for realizing our very second magazine, ‘LEGACY 2.0’. It is hoped that LEGACY 2.0 will serve as a platform to showcase the student’s achievements, with the aim of highlighting the diverse talents and inspiring stories that make our university a beacon of excellence. The Faculty of Dentistry Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia started in 2007, and until now there have been 17 batches of stellar dental students and alumni scattered all over the country serving the community. Our university cultivates an environment where ideas thrive, curiosity is nurtured, and boundaries are continuously challenged. The faculty aims to produce graduates who embrace the belief in the oneness of Allah, possess technical expertise, scientific knowledge, and a biological orientation. They are dedicated to respecting human dignity, socially aware, ethically and professionally accountable, and effective team players. The Dental Student Club (DSC) has received unwavering emotional and financial support to organize activities that enrich our student members and serve the community. We warmly welcome and wholeheartedly cherish students of all years, nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to our vibrant community. The lasting memories and valuable experiences gained here will stay with us for a lifetime. I believe that LEGACY 2.0 will capture and immortalize our most cherished moments, and our alumni will always hold USIM in the highest regard as their alma mater. Dear Readers, As the president of Dental Student Club USIM 2023/24, I am pleased to share with you our magazine “Dental Legacy 2.0”. This magazine is a testament to the dedication, hard works and accomplishments of our small community. These past few years, we have achieved outstanding milestones together, from organizing impactful programmes, aced the national conference, put a remarkable fight in national sports event to serving our local community through outreach programmes.
