June 9, 2024 To the Attendees of Cincinnati Concours d’Elegance, On behalf of the State of OH, my wife, Fran, and I welcome you to the 46th annual Cincinnati Concours d’Elegance, one of the longest running automotive celebrations of its kind in the country. OH is proud to host this internationally recognized event, which showcases some of the rarest and historically significant automobiles and motorcycles in the world. This year’s show’s featured theme is “La Dolce Vita – Celebrating Italian Style.” Since the 1890s, OH has played a major role in the automobile industry: from Charles Kettering’s innovations to Ford’s Model T assembly plant in Cincinnati to today’s modern factories producing high-quality parts and automobiles across the state. The proceeds from the Cincinnati Concours support juvenile arthritis assistance programs of the Arthritis Foundation, benefiting the many children and their families in the Southern OH region who live daily with this debilitating disease. We hope you enjoy your visit to Ault Park – one of Cincinnati’s many beautiful city parks – to view the spectacular vehicles on display. We thank you for supporting this grand event. Beyond the show, the Concours brings essential awareness to the fight against juvenile arthritis through their long-standing financial support of the Arthritis Foundation. These donations support Family Camps and assistance programs led by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. We as a city are grateful for this continued advocacy and civic contribution. Welcome to the 46th Cincinnati Concours d’Elegance featuring “La Dolce Vita ~ Celebrating Italian Style.” It’s no wonder that so many supercars come from Italy, as they embody the aesthetic design and exquisite quality that the country is known for. This year’s show will feature notable Italian cars from the likes of Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and many others. Be sure not to miss our specialty display recognizing the 60th Anniversary of Ford Mustang. The Mustang has been a hallmark of American culture since its introduction in 1964, offering a blend of style and power. Although the design has evolved over the years, the Ford Mustang remains an American muscle car icon. Our second specialty display, “Auburn – Cord – Duesenberg,” is a testament to the beauty and ingenuity of the Art Deco era. When E.L. Cord absorbed the Duesenberg Motor Company in 1926, he challenged the Duesenberg brothers to produce the most extravagant and powerful passenger car ever made. The end result was the Duesenberg Model J, which became a coveted status symbol owned by movie stars and nobility alike. This special display is truly a legacy of perfection. But that’s not all…the show field will be a mixture of antique, vintage, classic, exotic and racing cars with names such as Packard, DeSoto, Paige, Bentley, and Baldwin. Let’s not forget the collection of motorcycles, with brands like Indian and BSA. Once you get through the 24 classes of cars and motorcycles, be sure to take advantage of our automotive-themed art show and head over to the Craft Beer Garden for a cool one. As you know, our purpose is twofold: to produce the highest quality concours that keeps attendees and car owners coming back each year and to support the efforts of the Cincinnati Arthritis Foundation to improve the lives of children afflicted with arthritis.
