T-BONES OF HUDSON

SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR The Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor T-BONES of Hudson as Small Business of the Year for their commitment and service to our community, excelling in providing exceptional food, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere to our community for over three decades! The Hudson location was opened in 1986, where owner and CEO Tom Boucher took a food server position upon graduation from college in an effort to earn some extra cash on his holiday break before starting graduate school. This could be called the longest holiday break ever for Tom, as he gave up his scholarship and never went back. T-BONES of Hudson is part of the Great NH Restaurants, Inc. which was created in 2008 as the marketing and management company solely dedicated to the brands of T-BONES, CJ's, Cactus Jack's, Copper Door Restaurant, and TBONES Meats, Sweets & Catering. Each location is allowed to maintain itself as locally owned, independent restaurant and the Hudson T-BONES is currently managed by Denis Brunelle. In keeping the core values of serving quality, fresh, appealing products by a staff that feels more like family than employee, and wrapping their arms around the neighborhoods and customers that they take pride in being a part of our community. T-BONES of Hudson’s’ philosophy is to work harder, and so you can taste it, for when they say it is homemade, they truly mean made-from-scratch. In addition, their core values and compassion connect them to community. They strive for greatness, with courage and respect, caring and understanding to deliver kindness to their guests and employees. True acts of kindness are exemplified within their culture as they randomly reward customers with unexpected dining cards, paying it forward throughout the year. Annually, they also excitedly gather a team on “Random Acts of Kindness Day,” and head off for surprise visits to local organizations and businesses with gift cards. It starts with a simple act, but that kindness is contagious. Our Hudson T-BONES is always there supporting and helping the various requests for community support and donations but the biggest impact they have is when they hold their annual Tips for Toys event. And the Hudson T-BONES Team, have the biggest hearts. Some 26 years ago the employees created Tips for Toys, a unique event to directly benefit local children over the holidays. It is now a heart-warming tradition not only for the wait staff, but also for many of the loyal T-BONES’ customers that plan to dine on that day and give generously in this unique way to help those in need. The wait staff donate all their tips, and then become “Secret Santa’s” spending the day together shopping to purchase clothing and toys for local children in need. This past year the Tips for Toys raised $10,000, spreading happiness to so many families. T-BONES of Hudson continues to stand out as a compassionate community leader fostering a successful work place with a big heart. It is because of their kindness and involvement in the Hudson community that they are being awarded the Small Business of the Year. 9
