If parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then eight angles and pairs of angles are formed. 7 8

A pair of non-adjacent interior and exterior angles on the same side of a transversal. The pairs of corresponding angles are: ∠1 and ∠5; ∠4 and ∠7; ∠2 and ∠6; ∠3 and ∠8. Interior Angles Angles that lie on the interior of the parallel lines cut by a transversal. The Interior angles are ∠4, ∠3, ∠5, and ∠6. Alternate Interior Angles A pair of non-adjacent interior angles on opposite sides of a transversal. The pairs of alternate interior angles are: ∠4 and ∠6; ∠3 and ∠5.
