“Education is the best friend. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education beats the beauty and the youth.” – Chanakya Dear Readers, The Earth is currently coping with the most difficult challenge with compassion, courage, and optimism in the hopes of eradicating the most dreadful scourge, the Corona virus. The world had come to a complete halt; no people were walking in the streets, and no educational institutions were open. The usual functioning of the educational system and working patterns were altered, But we successfully surmounted the barrier and adapted to the new normal. Even if we are enjoying the new normal, we are missing out on the true substance of enjoyment. Even though life is about adjusting to change, we sometimes feel as if we have lost out on something and become bored quickly, wondering how to spend our time effectively. Don't you want to ignite the enjoyment in your life and rekindle the fire within you? So, during the lockdown, We from IEEE Power Electronics Society of St. Joseph's College of Engineering planned interesting competitions for the students to show off their incredible abilities and relieve stress by participating in these EVENTS. The Society wants to share all of the unique event experiences and great articles written by students by presenting PELZINE, the student magazine. Hope you feel rejuvenated by reading this magazine. Being patient, knowing the issue, and responding appropriately can assist us in dealing with any challenges that arise in life. If we dare to follow our goals, they can all come true. With this letter, we wish readers the best of success in their pursuits.

This magazine covers variety of topics that will immensely benefit readers of exciting contents published in the magazine. Articles authored by the students and published in the magazine are excellent example to showcase skillset and communication ability of the student body in the St. Joseph’s College of Engineering. Technical write-ups with focus in electrical engineering, power electronics, energy systems, transportation systems, sensor technologies, wireless power systems & technologies, display technologies, etc. are very well described. I have truly enjoyed some of these articles and looking forward to reading them all, when electronic version of the final magazine is released for readers in the St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and interested groups beyond this engineering school. I wish immense successes for this magazine and congratulate to all those who made publication of this magazine a reality. I am pleased and gratified that the IEEE PELS Society students have successfully completed the compilation of our student magazine PELZINE Volume II. It gives me tremendous joy to observe kids who have improved their soft skills during the summer. For any achiever, the right chance is critical. PELS has a good understanding of the main rhythm and has organised a number of tournaments to bring out the hidden abilities. This journal elegantly wraps up all of the activities, as well as student contributions on a variety of technical topics. Looking at the outcome of this endeavour is fantastic. Congratulations to the entire crew, and best of luck with your future endeavours. The society office bearers and members are releasing a magazine consequently for the second year. The events conducted during this pandemic are impeccable. Change and act accordingly to the current situation. Abiding by the context, the members have tirelessly worked for quality events and have proved that skills can be cherished even through a virtual platform. It is only possible because of technological advancements and the accessibility of the Internet. It's because of it. Our PELS team has been very proactive in organising new events for high school and college students. All of the events had a positive reaction. My heartfelt congratulations to the editorial team of this PELZINE for compiling all of the events and presenting them in such a lovely manner. Keep yourself healthy and safe!
