PWU Research Journal This Journal is the flagship publication of PWU. It welcomes and publishes articles written by the faculty and undergraduate and graduate studies students of different Schools of the University. It is published in May and December of the same year. Special Issues are also published. All papers are checked against plagiarism and are subject to full peer-review. The Editorial Board is composed of internal and external reviewers.
We welcome our readers to this May 2021 Volume 8 Issue 1 of the PWU Research Journal, the flagship publication of the Philippine Women’s University. This Issue was released during the ordeal of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, this pandemic has not let any of us deter from producing quality research outputs. We have beautifully thrived and will continue to grow amid adversity. The PWU Research Community should be proud of that strong sense of shared research values and fellowship! In the offing, we intend to increase our stature for global visibility and recognition. We shall be applying for indexations of our PWU titles in order to join in the league of journals recognized by world-renowned indexing bodies. I am confident that you are with the PWU-RDO with this dream! Consequently, our review processes go through stringent plagiarism checking, quality checks, and full blind peer review protocols. With this goal in mind, this Issue foregrounds a total of six research papers both from the undergraduate and graduate levels of the University, especially from the School of Education, School of Pharmacy, School of Hospitality Management, School of Nursing, and HRM / Food Science.
