Climate change and graffiti In July 21, we had a so-called century storm. It happened in the middle of the night and put well organized Zoo Rich in some chaos for a minute. It destroyed a few cars, some roofs and a lot of trees. Some of them fell down on the powerlines of the S10. Train service was interrupted, which resulted in a longer backjump, a temporary lay up and a bus service that replaced the train where the line was fucked. But the bus service didn‘t go all the way till the end of the line. Because the storm happened around 3am it was unlikely a train was stuck up there but we went and checked anyway. On the way up we interviewed the bus driver and everything he told us sounded promising. When we got up to the spot was pouring. One of those nights where it really never stops raining. But we were in a good mood. Not only was there a train, it was also parked so you could paint it. The craziest thing tho: it was the old orange model that hardly runs anymore, even on a normal day. No question that we was gonna smash it! The mission went smooth and the next day I didn‘t even go up there to bench. That train was stuck. It had nowhere to go and nowhere to get buffed. Three days later I finally went and the pieces was there but crossed out. No idea who and why but it looked like some train workers had fun with a couple cans. But some friends already had uncrossed flix of it. A couple days later I got a call about a couple writers checking the S10 as well. But they was checking the spots down in the city. When they was told there was a train on top, everbody wanted to paint that one. We drove up, waited until everthing was clean and hit it. Shortly after, the internet did its thing and everybody knew about it. Spotters gone up there and took their shots. Best place for benching. With three stops, there was literally no waiting time and a scenic environment with forests and stunning views of the city. Pic wasn‘t perfect? No problem. 15 minuites later its there again. And again. And again. All day. If you walked up the mountain and back, you could see your pieces passing by five or six times. A day or two later, I got more texts. They had tourists now and wanted to paint the remaining panels. I was gonna go there with a out of towner myself and wanted to wait a couple days. But the word was out and there was no telling who all was gonna po up there next night. So we all met at the spot and hit it again to fill the remaining panels. Finally, the company that runs the S10 got their shit together and figured out how to buff on the mountain top.
