Started by the first generation with trading activity moved by the second generation to industrial activity and transformed by the third generation to be an integrated steel production base. As the business grew and proved to be sustainable all over the years, thanks to the commitment, dedication and reliability of elmarakby several generations, the family decided to invest in the steel industry adding another commitment towards the steel business, construction sector and the entire economy of the country wherein elmarakby started the rebars rolling mill in 2006/2007 on an area of 60,000 square meter with today’s production capacity reaching more than 300 KT per year in sizes 10 – 40 mm. The group decided to go for a backward integration by investing in melt shop and continuous casting mill, 450 KT a year billet caster started in 2016, excess billets at that time were being sold to export and local markets. In 2020 elmarakbyseel started the new rolling mill with a production capacity of 400 KT per year of rebar 10 – 40 mm diameter and wire rods 5.5 – 14 mm diameter, in addition, elmarakbysteel is having a lime calcination plant, industrial gaseous unit, steel fabrication and machining workshops to have a horizontal integration as well. We are supplying to the iconic projects taking place in our beloved country Egypt as well as exporting to Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America.

CEO Message We began our rebar production in 2007 as a simple re-roller at that time. After nine years of hard work and development efforts, we became a steel manufacturer in 2016 with the inauguration of our 1st Melt shop production. The melt shop enhances our capacity to control our steel quality by controlling its chemical elements, leading us to produce better quality steel in a wider range of steel grades. Our corporate environment is founded on ethics, understanding, and flexibility with our client’s requirements. We gear all of our facilities and time to support and understand you. As a client you constitute our main asset; without you, we cannot succeed and grow. It is impossible to imagine a world without steel.
