Also: Christopher Hazelwood (Brochure Artwork) Jackson McConnell (Website) Dayfold Group (Brochure Print) I’m delighted to invite you to join our artists for Marlborough Open Studios 2026. The Open Studios arts trail takes place over the first four weekends in July and gives you the opportunity to discover workshops, studios and galleries where you can meet with artists and see them in their creative environment. You are invited to come and visit any number of the 40 open studios free of charge with no obligation to purchase. You will, I hope, enjoy meeting the artists and talking to them about their work, inspiration and techniques. Also look out for the special events being run by our artists; with opportunities to try different artistic techniques or attend preview shows. If you find visiting at weekends difficult, several of our artists are also open during the week. If you would like to see more of our artist’s work then please visit our website at www. marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk or follow us on Facebook or Instagram (#marlboroughopenstudios) where you will see regular postings both from and about our artists. If you’re in Devizes and would like to see some of our artist’s work on display, please do call in to Papa’s Bakery on the Little Brittox, where you can also buy freshly baked breads, tarts and cookies to keep you going on your studio tour. In Marlborough, artists are displaying at the Parade Cinema, where you can also stop for a meal or drink between visiting studios, or stay for a film to round off your day. I would like to thank everyone who has helped to plan and organise this year’s Open Studios trail. In particular the volunteer committee who work hard on behalf of our artists to bring Open Studios to you. I would also like to thank our professional partners as well as our sponsors for their generous support and draw your attention to their pages within this brochure. We hope you enjoy using this brochure to plan your Open Studios trip this year and look forward to meeting you. Paul Oakley, Chairman Visit our website Please take the time to check out our bespoke and highly informative website at www.marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk. This might be through solitary walks in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside or from small details glimpsed in a more urban setting. The shifting seasons and subtle daily changes are the starting point for her paintings and drawings. She works in watercolour, often combined with other media such as charcoal and pencil, as well as acrylics for slightly more abstract images. E STUART ANDERSON STUDIO Ceramics St Andrew's Church, Ogbourne St Andrew, Marlborough, SN8 1SD Having experimented with numerous methods for creating pottery, I have chosen to hand build the majority of my pieces using coiling and slab techniques. These methods particularly appeal to me as they allows me to be focussed but in a relaxed almost hypnotic state while I work on my pieces. The forms and dimensions are endless with these methods, and a large part of my work has involved testing the boundaries of what I can create with clay and my hands.
