(SAPA) The Times NIE Spotlight, often in collaboration with SaPa (Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts), is a premier inter-school music competition, particularly recognized as Bengaluru’s largest, engaging thousands of students across multiple categories. From Classroom to Radio: Global Academy Students Honor Soldiers with Original Song Betters from the Heart It all started with a simple, personal gesture. The students wrote handwritten letters to the Indian soldiers serving at the borders. These letters were filled with "thank yous" and messages of respect, showing the soldiers that their bravery is never forgotten. 04 MBMA Collectivv Students from Global Academy for Learning recently did something extraordinary to honor our soldiers for Kargil Diwas. They didn't just read about history—they became a part of it by sharing their voices and music with the entire country on Radio Mirchi. 2025 - 26
e m i t o i Stud Creating a National Tribute The students didn't stop at writing. They wanted to sing their thanks. With the help of their Music Teacher, Samanth from MBMA, the students discovered the "performer within." Together, they handled the entire creative process: Original Song: They wrote the lyrics, composed the tune, and created the beats. Studio Experience: The students visited a professional recording studio to record their track, learning exactly how music is made. A Classic Cover: To make their tribute even more emotional, they also performed a moving version of "Luka Chuppi" to honor the soldiers and their families. 05 MBMA Collectivv Heard Across India Their hard work reached millions! Radio Mirchi broadcast their original song all over India. The students also got to go on air to talk about their letters and their respect for the army. This experience showed every student that they have the power to create, perform, and inspire. By turning their feelings into music, the students of Global Academy for Learning gave a beautiful, national salute to the brave hearts of India. 2025 - 26
