spring 2025 | softwares used: o adobe photoshop architectural design. the castle atelier o adobe illustrator o autoCAD canterbury, kent o sketchup pro this project explores how architecture can anchor creative production within a rich historical and cultural context. situated beside canterbury castle, with framed views extending to the cathedral, this project is a spatial and symbolic dialogue between past and present – a place where artistic labour is both nurtured and made visible. it provides working and living space for artists while inviting the public into the rhythms of artistic life through exhibitions and workshops. o vray for sketchup

AA AB this page illustrates the architectural character and spatial energy of the project through these orthographic drawings. the elevations reveal the southeast elevation southeast section - AB building’s materiality and consisting of steel corten form and reclaimed brick engaging with both the historic fabric of canterbury and the immediate urban context adjacent to canterbury castle. the sections highlight how light and volume are choreographed throughout the studio spaces and the residential areas. they show the layering of public and private functions. the drawings collectively demonstrate how the project balances functional zoning with northwest elevation northeast elevation northwest section - AA expressive architectural language.

site model at 1:500 rainwater collection bioswales permeable paving studio section drainage around trees section through site landscaping the sections demonstrate the passive environmental strategies designed to enhance occupant comfort and energy efficiency . a green roof helps regulate internal temperatures providing natural insulation. heat is stored within the thermal massing of the building maintaining warmth. cool air enters through lower openings and exits via higher level windows. The building uses a combination of single side ventilation and stack ventilation with the use of skylights. triple glazed windows allow for ample natural light reducing the reliance on artificial lighting. site landscaping

spring 2024 | softwares used: collective dwelling. the creekside apartments sittingbourne, kent this project delves into the complexities of communal living in a rapidly urbanizing world and questions the future of housing design. this project focused on rethinking block D of the sittingbourne redevelopment plan where we were tasked with designing a residential space which focused on social diversity and community engagement. the goal was to create a co-living environment that balances private and communal spaces while addressing the social, economic, and environmental challenges of modern urban life. o adobe photoshop o adobe illustrator o autoCAD o sketchup pro 05

masterplan block B block A typical dwellings studio two bed one bed the typical dwelling layouts within the scheme include a balanced mix. the development accommodates 30 one-bed units, 30 two-bed units and 10 studio units ensuring a range of living options for different household sizes and lifestyles. each typology is carefully designed to optimize spatial efficiency whilst also prioritizing daylight access. residential commercial proposed site
