As you embark on this exciting chapter of your academic and personal journeys, I invite you to make the most of what this society has to offer. Society Fair Stall (29th) Several committee members will be running a society fair stall, where we’ll be recruiting new members and providing information about our society. Join us from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the LCR, Union House. Port & Policy (30th) Join us for our monthly Port and Policy session, a formal evening of political discussion and debate. These events require smart attire and will typically feature a guest speaker. Pre-prepared speeches will be an essential part of the session, providing an excellent opportunity to refine your public speaking skills and engage in meaningful dialogue. We are delighted to welcome MPs and prominent political figures throughout the year. Join us from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earlham Hall.

Pint & Policy (6th) Come along to our Pint and Policy session, an informal and relaxed event held every month between our Port and Policy sessions. This is a great opportunity to debate key topics, share ideas, and connect with fellow students over a drink in a friendly atmosphere. Join us on 6th February from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the SU Blue Bar.. Wine & Cheese Social (17th) Join us for an elegant evening in collaboration with the Wine and Cheese Society, where you can enjoy a selection of fine wines and cheeses in great company. This is a perfect opportunity to relax, network, and engage in light conversation with fellow members. Join us on 17th February from 7:00 PM at Earlham Hall. Spoons Night (13th) Join us for a fun evening as we visit all three Wetherspoon pubs in Norwich. We’ll start at The Glass House at 8:00 PM, then head to The Bell Hotel, and finish at The Queen of Iceni. It’s a great chance to unwind, chat about politics, and enjoy some affordable drinks. Come along for a fantastic night Movie Night (20th) Join us for a fun and relaxed movie night on February 20th! The screening will start at 7:00 PM, with the location to be decided. Enjoy a great film, popcorn, and good company. It's the perfect chance to unwind and connect with fellow UEA Conservatives. See you there!

Guest Speaker Damian Green (26th) Join us for an exclusive evening of conversation and networking at our Port & Policy event on February 26th, featuring Damian Green. With a distinguished career in British politics, Damian served as the Deputy Prime Minister, Home Secretary, and First Secretary of State. The Norfolk Debate (21st) Join us for The Norfolk Debate on March 21st, where UEA’s political societies will gather at a stunning aristocratic house for a unique evening of networking and lively debate. This exclusive event will bring together politicians, students, and society members to discuss the future of politics. It’s an unparalleled opportunity to connect with political figures, share perspectives, and engage in thought-provoking discussions about the direction of our nation. Curry Night (13th) Join us for a delicious evening at our Curry Night, where good food and great company come together. Whether you're a spice enthusiast or just looking for a fun social event, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy a classic favourite with fellow society members. Don’t miss out on an evening of good conversation and even better curries! London Trip (22nd) On March 22nd, join us for an unforgettable UK-wide Tory Society meetup in London! We’ll be hosting a large Port & Policy event, bringing together members from across the country to network, discuss current political issues, and enjoy a glass of port. Afterward, we’ll treat members to an exclusive tour of Parliament, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the heart of British politics.

HAGUE NIGHT (27th) What is Hague Night? Join us for an unforgettable evening at the UEA Conservative Society's Hague Night! Inspired by the legendary William Hague and his infamous student days, this night celebrates the spirit of camaraderie, debate, and a good time. Hosted in the heart of Norwich, with the location and time to be decided. Named after the former Conservative Party leader, who was known for his remarkable ability to consume up to 14 pints of beer a day during his time at Oxford, Hague Night brings together like-minded students for a night of friendly competition, great conversation, and plenty of drinks. Whether you're here for the debates, the laughs, or the chance to meet fellow Conservatives, this event promises an atmosphere of fun and tradition.

Darby Day Debate (30th April) Join us for the Derby Day Debate as the University of East Anglia Tories welcome the University of Essex Tories to the historic Earlham Hall for an evening of discussion, networking, and friendly rivalry. This special event offers a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas, engage in thoughtprovoking conversation, and strengthen ties between our societies. Whether you're looking to participate or simply enjoy the debate, it promises to be an enjoyable and insightful evening celebrating our shared passion for politics. Guest Speaker Jerome Mayhew (2nd May) Join us on May 2nd for an engaging Port & Policy event with Jerome Mayhew MP. As the Member of Parliament for Broadland, Jerome has a background in business and environmental policy, having previously served as a director at the family-owned Go Ape adventure company. With a strong focus on economic growth, infrastructure, and sustainability, Jerome is well-placed to discuss the pressing challenges and opportunities facing the UK today.
