• I am able to make fountains based on any ‘dish’ type shape, but typically using a leaf as a template. If you have a shape in mind, I can discuss its suitability to holding water and enabling the required flow of a fountain • Fountains can be scaled, I have made small 50cm tall ones, all the way up to a metre tall one. • The form can be either 180 degrees in orientation to place against a wall or backdrop, or 360 degrees so viewers can walk all around it, or anything in between • I supply a pump, and can also supply a simple black plastic reservoir that can be buried in the ground or clad with other material such as log roll if above the ground • I am also able to make a fountain that can be installed into your existing pond or reservoir • The requirements to run a functioning fountain are to have an electric supply that powers the pump, and the fountain is fed f rom the water in the pond or reservoir (may need topping up if we have a dry season!) • The number of leaves on a piece can be agreed in discussion, based on the form of the fountain and the size and shape of the leaves or dishes, but I prefer to fill out the fountain with leaves even if every leaf does not receive water, as this looks better aesthetically • Fountains can have one feed (one ‘jet’ of water that cascades down) or two or three feeds for more complex structures • Copper can be lacquered to preserve the initial appearance for longer, or left in its raw state to age gracefully with nature . Copper will first acquire a brown colour then eventually turn to the Verdigris green you see on ancient building roofs or weather va nes • I am able to install fountains within a reasonable distance from Devizes, and can then balance the flow of water in situ if t here is more than one water feed • Prices vary, from approximately £500 to £2000, and I will give an estimate of price once your individual requirements are understood.
