ABOUT IMRC 2026

The International Multidisciplinary Research Colloquium (IMRC): FUTURASIA 2026 is a pioneering initiative designed to foster international collaboration among scholars from the Philippines, India, Oman, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. In an era defined by complex global challenges, this conference responds to the urgent need for integrated, multidisciplinary solutions. Centered on the theme “Bridging Continents, Forging Sustainable Futures,” the colloquium is structured around four core thematic pillars: (1) Engineering a Sustainable and Resilient Future, (2) The Future Economy, (3) Social Cohesion, Governance, and Justice, and (4) Education, Humanities, and Human Capital. Adopting an innovative hybrid, multi-venue “hub-and-spoke” model, FUTURASIA 2026 will leverage the strengths of leading Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the participant nations. This format ensures wide accessibility, deep local relevance, and robust international dialogue. The primary objectives are to facilitate cutting-edge knowledge exchange, stimulate new international research partnerships, produce high-impact joint publications, and establish a sustainable academic network. With a resource model based on shared institutional contribution, this colloquium promises to be a landmark event, creating a powerful platform for building the partnerships necessary to address the most pressing challenges of our time and shape a more sustainable and equitable future.

ABOUT IMRC 2026

Rationale

The world stands at a critical juncture, facing interconnected challenges such as climate change, rapid digital transformation, economic shifts, and the need for social cohesion. Addressing these complex issues requires a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach that transcends national and disciplinary boundaries. The International Multidisciplinary Research Colloquium (IMRC) is conceived as a direct response to this need. Focused on the dynamic and diverse region represented by the Philippines, India, Oman, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, FUTURASIA 2026 aims to create a powerful platform for synergy. By bringing together experts from fields as varied as Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, IT, Humanities, and Public Administration, the conference will break down academic silos and foster the cross-pollination of ideas. The proposed hybrid, multi-venue format is not merely a logistical workaround but a strategic choice to democratize participation, leverage local expertise, and build a truly inclusive and resilient network of scholars and practitioners. This initiative is pivotal for sharing knowledge, cocreating solutions, and forging the international partnerships necessary to build a more sustainable, innovative, and just future.
