The A + I Program Adaptive and Innovative Leadership Program aims to build safe, smart, and sustainable communities through participatory, adaptive, and innovative leadership. The course design focuses on adapting and innovating for peace and development, providing a learning experience for local chief executives and the local government unit's A+I Team. The desired outcomes include forming a local governance team that appreciates participatory adaptive and innovative leadership, setting in motion a banner program for peace and development imbued with good governance principles, and broadening the network of resource contacts for continuous improvement of local programs.
The program lasts approximately 80 hours, spread over 20 synchronous sessions, asynchronous learning, and course requirements fulfillment. Admission requires nomination from the Local Government Academy, full participation of the local chief executive and LGU team, and all course fees are covered by the Local Government Academy.
The Adapt and Innovate Team of the LGU focuses on developing capacities such as participation, accountability, excellence, plans and programs, and becoming a learning organization to enhance the functioning of the local government unit. Through peer-to-peer learning, participants gain insights from real-life experiences and strategies, aiming to create a safe, smart, and resilient community.
