Their famous foods are pad thai and mango sticky rice. They also celebrate Songkran (water festival). GLOBAL ISSUE: One issue in Thailand is plastic waste, especially in oceans and tourist places. LOCAL-GLOBAL CONNECTION: In our community, we also have problems with plastic waste and improper disposal. GLOBAL ISSUE: Air pollution is a major issue in South Korea, especially fine dust that affects people’s health. LOCAL-GLOBAL CONNECTION: Air pollution also affects our country, especially in busy cities with many vehicles.
