From Ireland Durgotsab Committee আয়ারল্যান্ড দুর্গোৎসব কমিটি এবছর নবম বার্ষিকী দুর্গাপূজা উদযাপনে সকলকে আহ্বান জানাচ্ছে। ২০১৭ সাল থেকে আমাদের যাত্রা শুরু হয়। আমরাই প্রথম পূ জা কমিটি যারা সাধারণত বেলুড় মঠ অনু সরণ করে তারিখ ও সময় অনু যায়ী পাঁচ দিনের দুর্গা পূ জা করি। আমরা গত নয় বছরে রেকর্ড পরিদর্শক বৃ দ্ধি দেখেছি। আমাদের আচার-অনু ষ্ঠান শুরু হয় মহালয়া তর্পণ দিয়ে যেখানে ল�োকেরা বিদেহী আত্মার জন্য প্রার্থনা করে। আমরা লিফি নদীর তীরে বাণিজ্যিক র�োয়িং ক্লাবে (Commercial Rowing Club, Dublin 8) আমাদের পূ জা করি। ষষ্ঠীর দিন ঢ�োল পিটিয়ে মা দুর্গার আবাহনের মধ্য দিয়ে শুরু হয় আমাদের দুর্গা পূ জা। সপ্তমী শুরু হয় নবপত্রিকা স্নান থেকে। আমাদের সবচেয়ে মূ ল্যবান মুহূর্ত হল অষ্টমী পুষ্পাঞ্জলি এবং ু সন্ধি পূ জা। কমারী পূ জা সাধারণত নবমীতে অনু ষ্ঠিত হয় এবং তারপরে হবন হয়। আমাদের নৈবেদ্য ভারতীয় এবং আইরিশ ফল এবং সবজির মিশ্রণ দিয়ে গঠিত। আমাদের ু সন্ধি পূ জা ১০৮টি লিলি ফল এবং ১০৮টি প্রদীপ দ্বারা সঞ্চালিত হয়। পাঁচ দিন ধরে মা দুর্গাকে ভ�োগ নিবেদন করা হয় যার মধ্যে রয়েছে ভাত, ডাল, পাঁচ ধরনের ভাজা শাকসবজি, নিরামিষ তরকারি, চাটনি এবং মিষ্টি। প্রত্যেক দিন একই ভ�োগ থাকে, শুধু অষ্টমীতে খিচুড়ি ও লাবড়া এবং নবমীর জন্য প�োলাও এবং পনির। পাঁচ দিন ধরে সকাল-সন্ধ্যা ভক্তদের প্রসাদ দেওয়া হয়। ক�োভিড সময়কালে ২০২০ সালে, আমরা কার্যত পাঁচ দিনের পূ জা পরিচালনা করেছি এবং ভক্তদের প্রসাদ বিতরণ করেছি। প্রতি বছর আমরা নতুন কিছু করার চেষ্টা করি। গত বছরের মত�ো আমরা পুর�োহিত প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা করেছি যেখানে আগ্রহী ব্যক্তিরা প্রশিক্ষণ নিতে পারেন। তিনজন প্রশিক্ষিত পুর�োহিত গত বছর দুর্গাপূজা করেছিলেন। ২০২১ সালের জন্য আমরা কলকাতা, ঢাকা এবং বলিউড থেকে সেলিব্রিটিদের অনু ম�োদন পেয়েছিলাম। আমরা ২০২১ সালে দুটি পুরস্কার পেয়েছি এবং আমরা ২০২২ সালে সেরা পূ জা, সেরা প্রচার, সেরা স্থান এবং সেরা অনু ষ্ঠান বিভাগে চারটি পুরস্কার পেয়েছি। 2023 সালও আইডিসির জন্য ব্যতিক্রম ছিল না. Eventex থেকে দুটি গ�ৌরবময় পুরস্কার জিতেছিল। একটি সেরা নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থার জন্য এবং অন্যটি সেরা স্থানের জন্য। এখানকার মন�োরম স�ৌন্দর্যের কারণে আমরা আমাদের পূ জা শুরু করার পর থেকে প্রায় প্রতি বছরই সেরা স্থানের পুরস্কার পেয়ে এসেছি। লিফি নদীর Shakti | 6
ম্যাগাজিন চালু করা যেখানে সকলে নিরলস প্রচেষ্টার মাধ্যমে তাদের গল্প, কবিতা, অঙ্কন দিয়ে ম্যাগাজিনটিকে সাফল্য মন্ডিত করে ত�োলে। এই ম্যাগাজিনটি পড়লে আমাদের নিজেদের দেশের পূ জা সংখ্যার কথা মনে ৃ পরে যায়। কতিত্বের তালিকায় য�োগ করার মত�ো আরেকটি বিষয় হল বাংলার মাননীয় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতি মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের চিটি টি, যেটি তিনি লিখেছিলেন আমাদের প্রেসিডেন্ট মহাশয়কে তার সাহায্যের আশ্বাস দিয়ে। তার চিঠিটি আমাদের এই পূ জাকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য যথেষ্ট অনু প্রেরণাদায়ক। আমরা ভবিষ্যতে তার কাছ থেকে আরও সাহায্য পাব বলে আশাবাদী। ু ৃ আমরা 2017 সালে কমারী পূ জাও শুরু করেছি যা স্বামী শান্তিব্রতানন্দ জি মহারাজ (ডাবলিন রামকষ্ণ বেদান্ত ু কেন্দ্রের মহান্ত মহারাজ ) এর নিজের হাত দিয়ে শুরু। স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই কমারী পূ জা ঠিক একই পদ্ধতিতে করা হয় যে পদ্ধতি বেলুর মঠে অনু সরণ করা হয়। আমাদের পূ জা একটি সম্পূর্ণ প্যাকেজ যেখানে ৫ দিনের সম্পূর্ণ পূ জার আচার,-আচরণ সাংস্কৃতিক অনু ষ্ঠান, পুজ�োর ভ�োগ, খাওয়া দাওয়া এবং আরও অনেক কিছু উপভ�োগ করা যায়। ু দশমীর দিনে আমরা সিদুর খেলা এবং শঙ্খ ফঁক এবং ধুনুচি প্রতিয�োগিতার মাধ্যমে কলকাতার দুর্গা পূ জার মন�োরম পরিবেশ তৈরি করার চেষ্টা করি। আমরা অনেক আইরিশ ল�োকের পৃষ্ঠপ�োষকতায় আশীর্বাদ পেয়েছি যারা আমাদের পূ জায় স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে অংশগ্রহণ করে তাই এই পূ জা এখন একটি আন্তর্জাতিক উৎসবে পরিণত হয়েছে। ইউনেস্কো (UNESCO) কর্তৃক ২০২১ সালের ডিসেম্বর মাসে কলকাতার দুর্গাপূজাকে 'মানবতার অবলুপ্ত ৃ সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য' (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) হিসেবে স্বীকতি দেওয়া হয়। এটি ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ও বাংলাদেশের এক অন্যতম প্রধান ধর্মীয় উৎসব, যা কেবল ধর্মীয় উৎসবই নয়, বরং ৃ সামাজিক বন্ধন, ঐতিহ্য, এবং শিল্পকলার এক গুরুত্বপূ র্ণ অংশ হিসেবেও স্বীকত। আমাদের মূ লমন্ত্র হল আপনার সদয় এবং আন্তরিক সহয�োগিতায় আমাদের পুজ�োকে মহিমান্বিত করা। আমাদের তহবিলের একটি অংশ আয়ারল্যান্ডে অবস্থিত একটি দাতব্য সংস্থা আইরিশ ক্যান্সার স�োসাইটিতে (cancer.ie) এবং আরেকটি অংশ ভারতের কলকাতায় অবস্থিত একটি এনজিও ফিউচার হ�োপের ( https:// ৃ www.futurehope.net) কাছে যায়। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি মানু ষের সেবাই প্রকত ঈশ্বরের সেবা। Shakti | 7

With great honour and enthusiasm we extend our invitation to all the communities to join the celebration of Durga Puja, a cultural phenomenon that embodies diversity, resilience, and the empowerment of women. Durga Puja has transcended borders and cultures, gaining global recognition from people all over the world. UNESCO has declared this festival as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity”. This accolade reflects the festival‛s deep cultural significance and unifying essence, making it a powerful beacon of values that resonate across communities. We are thrilled to share that Ireland Durgotsab celebration has consistently been recognized for excellence on an international scale. Over the past four years (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024), we have proudly received six awards under the International Puja category from the esteemed “Sharodutsav Samman” (www.sharodutsavsamman.com), highlighting our commitment to delivering a remarkable experience that bridges culture and tradition on a global stage. The message of Durga Puja is profound: it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and the strength and dignity of womanhood. When you look at the Goddess with her ten hands and four children, it develops a deep sense of maternal power in our minds. She with ten hands slays the demon and performs multi tasks just like our mothers. She is no different. In today‛s world, challenges such as racial prejudice and hate attacks impact communities negatively. Events like these serve as an opportunity to foster inclusivity and welcome diversity through cultural celebration. Your presence at this event would undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration and reinforce shared values of community, respect, and security for many.
