SYNOPSIS

Four years after Maverick and Jairo drifted into total silence, a single confession resurfaces in the most public way possible, leaving millions heartbroken online. It is quiet, raw, and painfully intimate—a story so real it feels less like fiction and more like intruding on a private past. As social media explodes with theories about what really happened between them, the world watches the storm unfold in real-time, completely unaware of what’s happening behind the scenes. To the public, it looks like a masterclass in emotional storytelling. But as the questions turn personal, the truth behind those four silent years begins to surface: it was never meant for an audience. It was just one of them trying to give the other an answer—and the message is finally reaching home.

SYNOPSIS

– AUTHOR'S NOTE

- I created this short story out of pure passion and pure admiration from the different stories I have read, different movies that I’ve watched, and the different experiences and feelings that I have felt. I decided to combine them and compose my own story out of the things that I love. I hope this will turn out as a product of my pure dedication to create something that will stick with people, as those films and stories have stuck with me the same way.

– AUTHOR'S NOTE

- This short story is a work of PURE FICTION. The characters portrayed in this story do not associate with the people in real life. I used my favorite artists in this short story as the face claim for my characters. New characters will be introduced as the story progresses, but as this story starts, it will revolve around the two main characters first.

The library always smelled like decaying paper

and air-conditioned cold, a complete shift from the chaos outside. Maverick wasn't even supposed to be there. He’d only stepped inside to dodge a sudden afternoon downpour—or maybe just to kill time. Tracing his fingers along the spines of the crowded shelves, his director’s eye was automatically framing shots in his head: the dramatic tilt of dust motes in the yellow light, the quiet isolation of the aisles. Every page he turned, every synopsis he scanned, and every book cover he pictured already has a moving frame in his own little mind. That was until he finds an interesting and familiar book.

“Before the Frame Cuts? Seems like

the type of book a film major like me would read” Maverick said while flipping between the front cover and the pages. “Kael Ajiro...nice and familiar name for an author huh” Maverick wondered.
