Town and Country Herts & Essex (whilst under the much larger umbrella of Town and Country East of England that has branches in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and Norfolk) is owned by Lee Venables, and Geoff Flewers. Both are residents of Hertfordshire & Essex which is so important as local knowledge is paramount. With over 50 years of property market experience between them, the guys got together a couple of years ago & formed Town & Country Herts & Essex, as well as Town and Country Harlow. Using all of their experience, they have taken what they consider to be the “best bits” from the various estate agencies they have run, managed & worked for, and amalgamated lots of new and innovative ideas. The whole sales process starts with you having your property valued. Firstly it is well worth mentioning that Town and Country are quite happy to value your property even if you are just curious as to its worth. We put no pressure on you whatsoever. When you are ready, we are ready! Valuing a property correctly is vitally important. Too many agents are quite willing to over value your property. Why would they do that? The answer is simple. They do it just to get you to put your property with them. They then tie you in with probably a 16 week contract (why, when the average selling time in Herts & Essex is 6-7 weeks?), and then when your property hasn’t sold after a few weeks, guess what? They suggest the dreaded “price reduction” which is probably the worse thing that can happen when marketing your property. Using all of the online tools the industry can supply, Town and Country combine those with something that money just cannot buy. Their vast collective knowledge of your local property market. This results in an accurate valuation!
