A Month of Milestones October often marks significant achievements within the Amazing Life community. This year, we celebrated reaching the remarkable milestone of 30K members, a testament to the collective efforts of moderators, group experts, and enthusiastic members. This achievement highlights the power of unity and shared purpose that defines Amazing Life. Festivals and Togetherness October is also a month of vibrant festivals. It brings with it the joy of Navratri, Durga Puja, and Dussehra, which resonate with the group’s spirit of positivity and renewal. These celebrations remind us of the triumph of good over evil and encourage us to imbibe resilience, compassion, and hope in our lives. And greeting cards are the first and foremost choice to show heartfelt gratitude and appreciation. Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year on September 5. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. It aims to acknowledge and applaud the efforts and contributions of teachers in nation-building. célébration la 7 September 2024 Ganesh Chaturthi marks the start of 10 days Ganesh festival, which concludes with the immersion of Lord Ganesha's idol in a water body on Anant Chaturdashi. Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav is a popular Hindu festival celebrated in India. The day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha to prosper wisdom and good fortune. This year, the 10-day-long Hindu festival wias celebrated from September 7 and ended on September 17. The festival celebrated with great enthusiasm across the nation marks the birth of Lord Ganesha. Devotees install clay models of Lord Ganpati in homes and public places. The ozone layer is a shield of gas that protects the Earth from the harmful rays of the Sun and helps in preserving life on the planet. 21st September (Third Saturday) - International Red Panda Day It is observed on the third Saturday of September month. This year it falls on 21 September. The day raises awareness of their urgent need for conservation of red pandas. Red panda is a reddish-brown, long-tailed, raccoon-like mammal. Its size is about the size of a large domestic cat. It is found within the mountain forests of the Himalayas and adjacent areas of eastern Asia. SPOTLIGHT Spotlight KEANU REEVES Keanu Charles Reeves is a Canadian actor and musician. He is the recipient of numerous accolades in a career on screen spanning four decades. In 2020, The New York Times ranked him as the fourth-greatest actor of the 21st century, and in 2022 Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Reeves has dyslexia and has said, "Because I had trouble reading, I wasn't a good student". At De La Salle College, he was a successful ice hockey goalkeeper. Reeves had aspirations to play for the Canadian Olympic team and was once considered an OHL prospect, but his hockey career ended due to injury. At the age of 15, he decided he wanted to become an actor. After leaving De La Salle College, he attended Avondale Secondary Alternative School, which allowed him to get an education while working as an actor. Reeves dropped out of high school when he was 17. He obtained a green card through his American stepfather and moved to Los Angeles three years later. SPOTLIGHT Spotlight ALFRED BERNHARD NOBEL Born: 21 October 1833, Stockholm, Sweden Died: 10 December 1896 (age 63 years), Sanremo, Italy Awards: John Fritz Medal Known for: Establishing the Nobel Prizes; Inventing dynamite Nationality: Swedish Alfred Bernhard Nobel was a Swedish chemist, inventor, engineer and businessman. He is known for inventing dynamite as well as having bequeathed his fortune to establish the Nobel Prizes. Nobel created dynamite to help people in building and mining, but he and others also used dynamite to make bombs, canons, and rockets used in wars. Nobel wanted his inventions to help people. Alfred Nobel made his fortune primarily through the invention of dynamite. Upon Alfred Nobel's death in 1896, his will stated that the bulk of his assets would be given to an endowment to invest in "safe securities."
