The 728 Cadets is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that serves students enrolled in Independent School District 728 (ISD 728) schools and home-schooled students within the district. Students are provided the opportunity to participate and compete in the marching arts at a high level, showcasing their skills in music, performance, marching, theater and dance. Students have the option to participate in four separate programs throughout the year: 728 Cadets (summer marching band), River Valley Percussion Theatre (winter drumline), River Valley Winterguard (winterguard), and River Valley Sound (winter winds). Our Mission The 728 Cadets organization aims to teach students through life experiences while they pursue excellence in the ultimate sport of music in motion. By doing so, students can experience enjoyment and esteem while combining the best of athletics, education, and the arts. Support the Cadets Supporting the Cadets and Winter Arts is available in several formats! You can visit a local restaurant, attend local events, or donate through Give to the Max. Visit 728Cadets.org to learn more about these opportunities! If you have a community opportunity to benefit the 728 Marching Arts, if you'd like to be an event sponsor, or if you'd like to contribute at a higher level, please don't hesitate to contact us at 728CadetsMarchingBand@gmail.com. 2024 Summer Marching Cadets 3
On behalf of the members and staff of River Valley Percussion Theatre (RVPT), River Valley Winter Guard (RVWG), and River Valley Sound (RVS), we welcome all participating groups and spectators to our Winter Arts Festival. It’s our privilege to host today’s events, and we hope you’ll enjoy every minute of these exciting performances. We thank and recognize the following people for making this event a success: To the parents, thank you for the resources and many hours of volunteer time you give. You help load buses, move trailers, maintain instruments, serve food and encourage our members. The show could not go on without you! To the committees, thank you for your hard work and dedication to make this event a success. To all the businesses that continue to sponsor us, Thank you! Your financial support allows for our students and staff to travel, have functioning equipment, perform within our communities and represent the River Valley area on a national level. To our school district and community, for the support and use of facilities for practice and performance. The members of River Valley Percussion Theatre, River Valley Winter Guard, and River Valley Sound thank their staff for their dedication, creativity, and patience. Thank you for sharing your skills and passion for the Winter Arts with us this season. We extend our thanks to you, our guests, for your attendance and support. Please support all of the very talented students participating in today’s events and the sponsors in our program. If you are an ISD 728 student grades 7 – 12, and like what you see today, think about joining the 728 Cadets Marching Band this summer, or one of the River Valley Winter Arts groups next fall. 6th graders are welcome to join summer marching band as honor guard and banner carriers. Students in Elk River, Rogers, Otsego, and Zimmerman are eligible. You don’t need to be a percussionist to join RVPT, or have guard or dance experience to join RVWG.
