The Tabung Amanah Zakat & Kebajikan University of Cyberjaya (TAZUoC) was established in 2008 with the aim of collecting various types of zakat from lecturers, staff, and parents of students at UoC. The zakat collected is distributed to UoC students and staff categorized as asnaf to support their education fees and living expenses in Cyberjaya. TAZUoC receives support from the university management and allows zakat payment as an alternative to income tax, providing benefits to the payers.

In Malaysia, zakat payment can serve as an alternative to income tax, with zakat payers receiving rebate deductions. Lecturers and support staff at UoC contribute to zakat through monthly salary deductions. TAZUoC actively promotes this method and encourages all staff members to participate. Zakat payment is obligatory for eligible Muslims as stated in the Quran. Submission of official zakat receipts allows for income tax relief.

In 2024, TAZUoC provided financial aid for asnaf and support for student activities.
