This engagement not only opened doors to one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the country but also allowed us to build a strong relationship with their key decision-makers. Vivek Sheel (KAM) Ravi Kumar (AE) In a landmark achievement for Henkel India, Q1 2025 marked our firstever entry into LG India’s operations, a major milestone in our journey to expand our footprint in the appliance industry. This engagement not only opened doors to one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the country but also allowed us to build a strong relationship with their key decision-makers. What makes this collaboration even more significant is that we successfully implemented a new adhesive application for the first time ever in the Indian appliance sector. This solution addressed critical challenges in LG’s refrigerator cabinet sealing process, where imported materials were previously used. Sustainable Innovation in Action Henkel introduced Technomelt Supra-90, a locally manufactured hotmelt adhesive that delivered: •Superior adhesion and gap filling • 60% foamability with excellent thermostability • No charring and reduced material consumption But the impact went beyond performance. By replacing imported materials with a Madein-India solution, we significantly reduced the carbon footprint in LG’s production process. This aligns perfectly with our shared commitment to sustainability and supply chain resilience.
Performance Through Precision Testing Ensuring Engine Reliability with Confidence In Q1 2025, Henkel conducted a specialized validation of Loctite SI 5970, tailored specifically for engine applications, where performance, reliability, and compatibility are non-negotiable. This initiative was driven by a clear objective: to prove the product’s effectiveness under realworld conditions, as per the customer’s stringent requirements. At Henkel, we believe that testing is the ultimate proof of performance. For this project, we went beyond standard procedures to simulate actual engine conditions. The goal was to ensure that Loctite SI 5970 does not negatively impact engine oil or its performance over time. The engine is the heart of any machine, and when it comes to sealing components within it, the stakes are high. Any compromise in compatibility can lead to long-term damage, reduced efficiency, or even failure. That’s why this testing was not just important, it was crucial. Sarika Pawar (AE) • Aging Test: Oil samples aged at 120°C and room temperature showed 96–98% correlation with fresh oil Leakage Test: No air leakage observed at 10 psi and 5 bar after 10 minutes of curing ▪ Aakanksha Kiran (KAM) • • Ravi kumar (AE) FTIR Analysis: Verified that the sealant does not chemically alter the engine oil These results confirm that Loctite SI 5970 maintains its integrity and does not interfere with engine oil properties, making it a safe and reliable choice for critical sealing across Heavy duty application.
