● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Safety Brief The Challenge is on old walkways and open to traffic roads throughout. Footpaths must be used where available. Except in the case of an emergency you must walk only on the official Dingle Way. Under no other circumstances are you to trespass on farmer's land. Walk on the right-hand side of the road where there is no footpath, not in the middle!! Familiarise yourself with the copy of the DWC 2025 route map which is attached. Participants who finish between checkpoints must ensure the organisers are notified by calling one of the contact numbers. Finish cut-off time is 4 pm in Cloghane. This is for health/safety reasons. Do not rely on the kitchens at the checkpoints as your only food source. All participants must bring enough food and water for the entire walk. Bring sun cream and food/drink in your back pack and put more in your extra bag which you will have access to at the end of each stage. Please bring enough thermal gear and make sure your head, hands and feet are kept warm. It’s better to be safe than sorry when thinking about packing your bag with clothes. Don't underestimate how cold or hot it will be on the Challenge. Beware of traffic even on quiet roads. We hope you enjoy a great day of walking with friends old and new in an area of great natural beauty. Take time afterwards to reax and enjoy the end of day barbeque. 8 Play St. Pat’s Weekly Club Lotto: www.stpatsgaaclub.com
