ABOUT US OnQ Research is a South African based Contract Research Organization that has been in existence since 2008, and is able to assist both local and international client’s right from program and protocol concept through to the study execution and report generation. OnQ prides itself on its in house expertise. OnQ has experts on hand who advise on protocol content, both within the context of conducting the trial within South African conditions, as well as ensuring the trial stands up to international scrutiny and ultimately filing for registration. OnQ Directors remain relevant and involved within the South African clinical research environment.
Catherine is by training a registered neonatal nurse. She entered the clinical research arena as a research nurse, followed by her formal clinical research training at Quintiles. She left Quintiles to pursue a career in contracting. This consilidated into a monitoring consultancy, which then evolved into a full service CRO, OnQ Research, in 2008. CATHERINE LUND She has served on the SACRA (South African Clinical Research Association) Exco for a period of three years. She additionally headed up the writing department for this organisation. She was the Vice Chair for the South African Chapter of ACRP in 2003. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. Her additional interests are running, amateur economics and politics.
Dr Seahloli has over 20 years’ experience in clinical research and medical writing. He holds a B.Sc in Medical Sciences specialising in Haematology, M.Sc degree in Medicine specialising in Haemato-Oncology and a Ph.D in clinical research. Dr Seahloli joined OnQ Research in 2008 as director in Clinical Operations and in 2017 moved to quality DR SELLO SEAHLOLI assurance department of OnQ Research as Head of quality assurance. Dr Seahloli was a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Washington DC and is currently a member of the South African Clinical Research Association and Med Bay.
Robert has been involved in Clinical Research since 2000 where he managed a large Clinical Trial Laboratory, followed by a career as CRA and later in Operational management at OnQ Research from 2013 to current. Robert qualified as Medical technologist (Clinical Pathology) from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 1995. In 2003 he ROBERT VOOGT completed the Program in Project Management at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He currently holds the position of Clinical Operations Director. Robert has represented SACRA (South African Clinical Research Association) as EXCO member 2010 – 2012 / 2014 – 2015.

OnQ’s clientele include pharmaceutical, biotechnological and medical device companies as well as academic and governmental organisations. The flexibility and cost structure of OnQ lends itself to be both a supportive local resource, as well as able to implement and conduct an entire clinical trial for sponsors outside of South Africa. OnQ has expanded into the arena of training and is able to offer an introductory and refresher course in ICH / GCP which has been reviewed and accepted by the appropriate regulatory authority. OnQ is proactive in terms of quality assurance, and conducts in-house audits, as well as subcontracting audit capabilities.
