FOOD MONTH AMBASSADOR I like to joke that the dodgy back tattoo I got when I was in my early-twenties doesn’t translate correctly to that Buddhist enlightenment mantra I asked for but in fact says something about spaghetti carbonara and garlic bread – such is my love of a good meal! Growing up with parents of a European background, nothing brought the family together like food. From an early age, I learnt that food was a love language, and quickly adopted it as my own. Nothing sets my soul alight quite like a fabulous meal so I am incredibly honoured to be returning to Newcastle Food Month as ambassador for 2024. In the past six years I have seen Newcastle’s offering in restaurants, cafés, take-away joints, hotels, pubs and bars reach new heights, with brilliantly creative and passionate people at the helm who are dedicated to providing a one-of-a-kind experience at their establishments. Newcastle Food Month is the perfect time to support an old faithful with a sumptuous special, discover a new favourite or get your best mates together to enjoy one of the many stand-out events across the city.
