MY SUMMER

A Place I Visited — Pachmarhi

This summer I visited Pachmarhi, a beautiful hill station in Madhya Pradesh, also known as the Queen of Satpura. It is surrounded by ancient sandstone rocks, dense forests, and sparkling waterfalls. We explored amazing rock caves, deep gorges, and a lovely rose garden with a fantastic aerial view. I also visited the Nature Museum where I saw life-size models of a Indian Bison and learned about the Indian Rock Python. Pachmarhi was the most exciting and adventurous trip I have ever been on!

My Favourite Summer

Activity — Travelling My favourite summer activity is travelling with my family to new and exciting places. This summer I went to Pachmarhi and it was absolutely thrilling! I climbed huge ancient rocks, walked through narrow rocky caves, stood at a high viewpoint with mountains stretching as far as I could see, and even put my feet in a cold stream flowing between giant boulders. Travelling teaches me so much about nature, history, and different places that I could never learn just from books. I love every moment of exploring the world!

My Summer Memories —

Pachmarhi Adventures Some of my favourite memories from Pachmarhi are: standing under the misty Handi Khoh gorge, walking through an ancient dark rock tunnel, watching the sun rise behind the misty Satpura mountains, and listening to folk musicians play traditional instruments in a thatched village hut. Every moment felt magical and I felt like a real explorer! I also sat on top of smooth sandstone boulders and felt the cool breeze blowing through the rocky valley. These memories will stay with me forever.

Fun Things I Learned in

Pachmarhi In Pachmarhi I learned so many interesting things! At the Nature Museum, I discovered that the Indian Bison (Gaur) is the largest wild cattle in the world and that the Indian Rock Python is one of the largest snakes in Asia. I also learned that Pachmarhi's amazing sandstone rock formations were created over millions of years by wind and water erosion. The narrow Handi Khoh gorge was formed by a river cutting deep through solid rock over thousands of years. Travelling is truly the best way to learn about the natural world!

My Summer Highlights

The best highlight of my summer was standing at the Pachmarhi viewpoint with arms wide open, feeling the cool mountain wind and seeing layers of misty blue mountains stretching into the distance. It felt like I was on top of the whole world! Another highlight was climbing and lying on the giant rock formations — the rocks were so smooth and huge, carved by millions of years of wind and water. Every single moment in Pachmarhi was a perfect summer highlight I will never forget!
