Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce: Empowering Black Businesses
Mission and Impact
The Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce aims to empower African-Americans, minorities, and women-owned businesses in the Savannah Metropolitan area through educational workshops, events, and resources to create a sustainable business environment (Page 1).
By supporting Black-owned businesses and promoting economic empowerment, the Chamber plays a significant role in enhancing the local community. It offers various membership benefits such as advocacy, sponsorship opportunities, and business consulting to help improve operations and visibility (Page 1).
Community Engagement
The Chamber works to educate, empower, and equip African American, minority, and women-owned businesses in the Savannah area through partnerships, professional development opportunities, events, and government advocacy. It serves as a vital resource for business owners and professionals, providing networking mixers, workshops, and signature events like the Black Business Expo and the Black Business Gala (Page 2).
With a dedication to fostering a thriving and sustainable business environment, the Chamber offers access to essential resources, strategic education, advocacy, and economic opportunities to drive long-term prosperity and generational wealth (Page 2).
Upcoming Events
The Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Black Business Expo on August 2, 2025, showcasing over 50 vendors from the Black business community. The event provides an opportunity to network, support Black-owned businesses, and gain insights into starting or enhancing a business. Registration is open and free to all attendees (Page 3).
Additionally, the Chamber will host a Business Mixer & Networking Social on February 20, 2025, offering a platform for Black entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals to grow their network, exchange ideas, and connect with like-minded individuals in a dynamic and welcoming setting. The event aims to inspire collaboration and success (Page 3).
