Ewe-niquely Genetics Podcast

The Ewe-niquely Genetics podcast by Sheep Genetics has been well-received, with 6 episodes released since its launch in May. Listeners from Australia and 16 other countries have engaged with industry insights provided by hosts Chloe Bunter and special guests. Episodes delve into the history of Sheep Genetics, industry sentiments, genetic research, and adoption and extension efforts. The podcast is available on Spotify for easy access.

The Resource Flock

The Resource Flock collects difficult-to-measure phenotypes to enhance the Sheep Genetics evaluation, benefiting members across Australia. Progeny from the flock contribute to genomic information, allowing ASBVs for traits like intramuscular fat and lean meat yield. The flock's new project phase is funded by Sheep Genetics members and industry contributions. Sires for the 2025 joining are chosen to reflect industry diversity, with data feeding into genetic evaluations and advancements.
