This course focuses on research methodology in dentistry and dental hygiene, teaching students how to plan, implement, and evaluate research projects. Students learn to critique research design, evaluate articles, and apply evidence-based knowledge to clinical experiences.
Students were tasked with developing research proposals on topics of their choice related to dental hygiene. This allowed them to explore areas of interest and propose studies that offer insights or solutions to current issues in dental hygiene practice, education, or public health.
The student directory showcases a variety of research proposals, such as studying the impact of denture-related micro and nanoplastic exposure on oral health, comparing fluoride varnish with dental sealants in children, and investigating the effects of vaping on oral health. Each proposal aims to contribute valuable knowledge to the field.
