Vice Chancellor Dear Students, It gives me great pleasure to see the second edition of our student magazine come to life. This magazine is a reflection of your talent, ideas, and creative spirit. It celebrates what makes a university more than just a place of learning — the voices and expressions of its students. This edition brings together four powerful forms of expression: prose, poetry, art, and photography. Each section holds a mirror to the imagination, emotions, and thoughts that shape your experience. Whether it’s through words, visuals, or captured moments, your contributions speak volumes about how deeply you engage with the world around you. I feel, a university should always encourage free thought and creativity, and I am glad to see that spirit alive in these pages. I also appreciate the hard work of the editorial team and everyone who contributed to making this edition possible. I hope every reader finds something that resonates with them. Let this magazine continue to be a platform where your voices are expressed and your creativity thrives. With best wishes, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain Vice Chancellor Ajeenkya D Y Patil University

From the Heart of a Mentor Dear Students, Watching you pour your thoughts, emotions, and creativity into these pages has been a journey of pride and happiness. It’s like watching a splash of rainbow colours come to life. Each word, each sketch, each captured moment tells a story only you could tell. This magazine is not just a collection of work but it’s a reflection of your voice, your passion, and your journey. In the course of this journey of bringing out the 2nd edition of the magazine, as your mentor, I may have been a little strict at times setting tight deadline, pushing for changes, maybe even scolding you here and there. But every bit of it came from a place of care. I wanted you to understand the value of time, the power of discipline, and the beauty of doing something with all your heart because that’s what builds quality not just in a magazine, but in life. To every student who contributed through your words, your art, your photos, your ideas, you made this edition vibrant, meaningful, and full of soul. To the students of the editorial board, I have watched you grow in remarkable ways. You have learned the art of editing, coordination, time management, and decision-making. More importantly, you have learned to collaborate, to lead, and to believe in something bigger than yourself. These are life skills that will stay with you far beyond the pages of this magazine. You have amazed me with your talent, perseverance, teamwork, and positive spirit. As your mentor, I haven’t taught you nearly as much as I have learned from you about imagination, resilience, and the magic of fresh perspectives that you bring to the table. Keep creating. Keep growing. And always stay true to who you are. The world needs your light. With pride and affection, Your Mentor Ajeenkya D Y Patil University Sukhvinder Kaur Multani Deputy Dean - Research & Development Research Fellow - INTI International University, Malaysia

Editorial Message

Dear Readers, It is with immense joy and pride that we present to you the second edition of Abhivyakti —a celebration of creativity, art and expression. Abhivyakti, meaning “expression,” is more than just a mere magazine. Abhivyakti is also known as the magazine that survived endless edits, caffeine overdoses, and existential crises to finally reach your hands! It is a canvas where voices find resonance, where ideas take flight, and where every word penned is a reflection of the dreams, hopes, and thoughts of young minds unafraid to be heard. The edition brings together a mosaic of articles, poems, artwork, reflections, and photographs—each unique, each powerful. We owe our deepest gratitude to our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, for his unwavering encouragement and support; to our beloved mentor, Prof. Sukhvinder Multani ma’am, whose guidance, belief (and loving scoldings) kept us grounded and growing; to the editorial board for their discerning judgment and tireless dedication; and to the design team for breathing beauty and life into every page. Most importantly, we thank every single contributor whose passion and creativity have made this edition truly magical. The creation of the second edition of Abhivyakti has been quite a tumultuous yet, a deeply insightful and enlightening journey filled with the best discussions, quality arguments and human bonds disguised as professional ties. It was really rewarding to be the part of Editorial Team, this journey has taught me a lot of patience . The power that thoughts hold, transcends through words and illustrations which I believe is the essence of Abhivyakti.. As you wander through these pages, I hope you laugh, pause, reflect, may you find something that moves you, something that makes you pause and maybe even get inspired to create your own beautiful chaos. Until next time, stay curious, stay kind, stay a little weird and never forget: the world needs your voice. Signing off, Zainab Shaikh Editor - Abhivyakti On behalf of the editorial board.
