Staff will treat members of the server with respect. While we are here to enjoy roleplay our ultimate goal is to enhance your stories, RP lives, and the community as a whole* ➔ Do not DM staff◆ In the event of encountering an issue or having a query, kindly utilize our Discord ticket system for assistance. Avoid direct messaging staff members for support purposes. ➔ Not responding to staff◆ promptly comply with their directive. If you happen to be engaged in roleplay at the time, kindly conclude your current session and respond to the staff member at your earliest convenience. ➔ Disrespecting Staff◆ Please maintain a respectful attitude when communicating with staff members. We're all human, and our team volunteers their time to ensure the smooth operation of the server. Any form of disrespect is detrimental to the community, so please prioritize being respectful in all interactions. When a staff member requests action from you, it's essential to comply promptly. If you have real-life obligations that may delay your response, don't hesitate to communicate this to the staff, and they will accommodate accordingly. ➔ Addressing staff in Character/Server◆ If you know that a Staff member is currently on the server, please do not approach them to discuss an Out of Character Issue. Please open a ticket so that the situation can be handled appropriately while also not disturbing the RP environment we are all working towards STORMS/RESTARTS ➔ Server Restarts (Storms)◆ Upon receiving the 30-minute warning for a server restart, refrain from initiating any major criminal activities such as
abstain from engaging in any criminal behavior until at least 10 minutes after the server has completed its restart process. SERVER EVENTS ➔ Events ◆ You are free to host events throughout the server. If your event requires assistance from staff or will be bending/breaching rules it must be cleared via ticket. If you would like furniture/props placed for an event make a request via ticket. GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS ➔ RDM/Mass RDM◆ Engaging in lethal actions against individuals or non-playable characters (NPCs) without just cause is prohibited. Prior to initiating any hostile actions, you must establish communication or interaction with the party you intend to target. This ensures that hostile actions are justified within the context of the roleplay scenario. ● EXAMPLE: Sammy is the leader of a gang. His gang has been having issues with another gang. He sees a rival gang member standing in the street in Valentine so he walks up to him and says, “F**K YOU and the Pink sash gang”. Then proceeds to shoot the individual. This IS an acceptable initiation. *Situations that arise regarding this rule will be dealt with on a case by case basis. ➔ VDM/Mass VDM◆ You are prohibited from causing harm to individuals using your horse or cart without valid reason. Similar to the "Random Deathmatch" (RDM) rule, you must engage in interaction or initiation before initiating any hostile action towards a vehicle or its occupants. This ensures that any hostile actions involving vehicles are conducted within the bounds of fair roleplay. ➔ Revenge RP ◆ Engaging in retaliation against a player immediately after they have killed you is prohibited. Both parties involved in a killing or
for a period of 30 minutes. This restriction also applies to situations involving robbery, whether being robbed or robbing an individual. This ensures a fair and balanced approach to conflict resolution within the server environment. Multi-Character Rules➔ If you have multiple characters, you may NOT switch to a secondary character and engage in the same rp or rp scene on another character. ➔ Criminal/Deputy- Having a criminal and a deputy character can add extra RP aspects to the server. However, if you log onto your deputy, you may NOT switch back to your criminal for at least 45 minutes and vice versa. This creates a gap between any scenarios involving both characters played by the same person. This helps prevent interactions that may come across as “Meta” to other players within the server. ◆ Your law character cannot have any input into a criminal investigation that your “cousin” character is involved in. ➔ Senior Law and Criminal Characters ◆ If you are the Sheriff or Undersheriff you cannot own a criminal character. This will help prevent meta during investigations because the Sheriff and Undersheriff should ALWAYS be in the “know” about crimes that are happening in the State. The only instance where this will be allowed is if you are creating a “one and done” Character. The purpose of these characters will be to come in, commit crimes, cause a little havoc, and then die. They will not be long term characters, but rather player story enhancers. ➔ LQRP ◆ Engaging in low-quality roleplay characterized by toxic dialogue, saltiness, unnecessary gunplay, or requesting abrupt endings ("Just Send Me") can be considered poor roleplay and may result in a ban from the server. Maintaining a high standard of roleplay enhances the experience for all participants and fosters a positive community atmosphere. ➔ Meta-gaming ◆ Utilizing out-of-character information to gain an advantage in-character, such as details about a gang, an ongoing
includes actively monitoring someone's stream while you are actively playing on the server. You may open a stream to show support for a streamer, but you must hide the tab and mute it to avoid any potential meta-gaming accusations. Being seen as active in the stream, such as chatting, commenting, or reacting, may be interpreted as attempted meta-gaming and is not allowed. ➔ Voice Changers◆ Voice changers should aim for realism to maintain immersion within the realistic server environment. Staff will inform you if your voice changer should be adjusted so that it dos not take away from the RP experience. ➔ Third Party Calls ◆ You are not to be in a discord call or group chat of any kind while active on the server. Use only the game voice service the state uses. ➔ Power-gaming ◆ Exploiting or abusing in-game mechanics or bugs to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited. This includes actions such as placing all your seeds in one hole while farming instead of planting them in rows as intended. Additionally, attempting to dominate interactions with other players or portraying your character as more powerful than they actually are, either by exploiting mechanics or fabricating roleplay to achieve a "win," is not permitted. Such behavior undermines the integrity of the roleplay environment and detracts from the experience for others. (This is another rule that could be reviewed on a case by case basis) ➔ Fear RP ◆ It is mandatory to exhibit fear for your life in situations where a firearm is aimed at you. Refrain from taking any actions that could escalate the situation or endanger yourself further. Similarly, if a friend is threatened with a gun, you should also fear for their safety and act accordingly. However, if the individual holding the weapon is within arm's reach and facing you, it is permissible to attempt a disarm by pressing the designated key ("F"). Conversely, if the weapon is held to your back from any distance, compliance is necessary. These guidelines ensure a realistic and immersive roleplay experience while prioritizing the safety of all characters involved.
◆ It's crucial to value your character's life in the same way you would in real life (IRL). Failing to demonstrate concern for your character's well-being and using the excuse of not caring IRL may result in being banned or kicked from the server. This fear of life extends to the potential loss of freedom as well. Before committing any crimes, carefully consider the consequences and be apprehensive about the potential outcomes. By adhering to these principles, you contribute to a more realistic and immersive roleplay environment while ensuring the safety and integrity of all participants. ➔ NLR (New life rule) ◆ When you are downed and have to respawn you lose all memory of the 30 minutes leading up to you being knocked down. Everything leading up to those events of your death. (Conversations, actions, locations and thoughts) ◆ Someone involved in the RP may “jog” your memory of the events. [ blowing someone's head off does nothing extra and it does not mean they perma] ➔ Kill/Revive Rule ◆ In a roleplay scenario where someone has been incapacitated ("downed"), it is prohibited to administer a tonic or revive them only to subsequently kill them again. Additionally, if someone is revived during an ongoing hostile situation, they are not allowed to rejoin any hostile activities until the scenario has concluded entirely. These guidelines ensure fair and consistent roleplay interactions, maintaining the integrity and immersion of the gaming experience for all participants. ➔ Baiting ◆ You are not to bait cops by using the /alertpolice command. ◆ If you can convince a lawman to follow you out of town and you rob them this is allowed. ◆ Knocking out your friend or accomplice to attract medical attention is not permissible. Doing so violates the principle of valuing your character's life and the realistic portrayal of
disregards the inherent fear for one's life that should be present in such situations. Therefore, such actions are prohibited to maintain the integrity and immersion of the roleplay environment. ➔ Logging in If you log in, in the middle of an rp scenario, you MAY NOT intervene. Even if it’s your place of business. Let the scenario finish. ➔ NITRP (Not in the role play) ◆ Inserting yourself or getting involved in RP you weren’t previously in can usually only ruin their scene or add elements that change the scene entirely. If your head pops during a combat scenario or hostile situation you are not to reinsert yourself into the scene/scenario. (Scenario where acceptable: Hostage in a hostile situation.) ➔ Fail/RP- Unrealistic actions ◆ Would you do it in your everyday life? Think before you act. As well, mentioning cousins (since your characters can never meet) can be considered OOC and therefore a form of Fail RP. Threatening someone with “Contacting the Government” referring to staff in character will be taken as Fail RP, DO NOT think it will get you out of an RP situation. If you feel you need to contact staff, allow the scenario to play out and then submit a ticket. Roleplay your injuries to the best of your ability. Use in game features, clothing, and the command /status to assist you with this.! Remember that Injuries would normally not be healed in a couple hours. ➔ Don't be a Hero/Vigilantism ◆ Vigilantism is strictly prohibited within the server environment. Engaging in vigilante activities, which involve taking the law into one's own hands outside of the established legal framework, undermines the integrity of the roleplay experience and can disrupt the immersive atmosphere for all participants. Any instances of vigilantism will be met with appropriate disciplinary action to maintain the fair and balanced gameplay environment.
➔ Altering Appearance ◆ Entering character creation to modify facial features with the intention of evading identification after committing a criminal act is strictly prohibited. Players are permitted to alter their appearance through methods such as cutting, trimming, and dyeing hair at the in-game barber. However, using the character creator to avoid visiting the barber is not allowed, and instantly growing hair is deemed unacceptable. Players must wait a minimum of 25 minutes after the conclusion of any criminal scenario before making any alterations to their hair, facial hair, clothing, or other appearance-related aspects. These rules are in place to maintain fairness and realism within the roleplay environment. ➔ Identifying people based on voice ◆ Voice ID is not enough to identify an individual. Not everyone can voice act. You must have more things to identify an individual. If you can describe their guns, clothing, and horse this would be enough for the Sheriff Department to question an individual. ◆ Protecting your Identity is your responsibility. If you do not do a good enough job you will deal with the law. ◆ You cannot identify an individual just off of their horse either ➔ Hogtie ◆ Breaking out of ropes when you are hogtied is prohibited. However, if only your feet are bound and you have a knife in hand, you may cut the rope free. Additionally, if you are left alone for 15 minutes or if someone else loosens the ropes and gives you permission to untie yourself, you are then allowed to break free. These rules ensure fair and realistic roleplay interactions while maintaining the integrity of scenarios involving restraints. ◆ You are not to give up while hogtied to just leave the rp. ➔ Perma ◆ The decision to permanently retire/end the life of your character is entirely yours; no one can coerce you into doing so. Once you decide to perma a character, it is a final decision and cannot be reversed. Therefore, it's important to carefully
"/me" actions such as "dead," "perma," or "bled out" are logged to confirm character deaths, ensuring transparency and accountability within the roleplay environment. ◆ (Agreeing to and being in a duel will always result in a perma. Your character cannot come back from this.) ➔ Last Will And Testaments ◆ After a perma the character must be deleted immediately. ◆ An exception to the rule regarding character permanence is the submission of a last will and testament before perma-ing your character. This document must be submitted to staff via ticket. If your character is permanently retired and you have a will in place, staff will oversee the distribution of your deceased character's belongings in accordance with your wishes. This process ensures that your character's legacy is respected and their possessions are handled appropriately after their departure from the roleplay environment. ◆ Handing items down, even via a will, to a character played by the same person who perma’d, will most likely not be accepted. ➔ Intoxication (alcohol, drugs, etc.) ◆ You are responsible for your IC actions regardless of your current state OOC. ➔ Abusing LEO/Doctor Role ◆ It is not permissible to retain gold, weapons, or drugs confiscated from criminals. Likewise, reselling confiscated items to the public or utilizing whitelisted jobs to rob individuals is strictly prohibited. Additionally, crafting or storing tonics for distribution to friends is not allowed. Refusal to fulfill the duties associated with your whitelisted job may lead to termination from the position. These rules ensure fair and ethical behavior within the roleplay environment, fostering a balanced and enjoyable experience for all participants. *Corrupt doctors and Lawmen RP must be approved and will be monitored by staff* ➔ Modding/Hacking/Exploiting ◆ Using software or mechanics that enables you to do things that you wouldn’t have been able to before in-game that
