Christmas Card

Supporting cancer patients in Jersey
throughout COVID-19 and beyond

We don’t normally need to ask, but this year is very
We need your help, more than ever before.
Our income has reduced by nearly 60% this year, our
services have adapted and grown to ensure we are still
there for those that need us, as soon as they need us and at
a place where they feel safe.
We are a local charity,
and receive no funding from Macmillan in the UK or the
Government of Jersey.
Can you help us recover some of our losses so that we can
face 2021 with promise and more certainty?
Our community needs us, and we need you. How might you
be able to help?
- Staff 'Go Green' day for Macmillan Jersey
- Donate a portion of your Christmas party budget
- Swap secret Santa gifts for charity pledges – a gift for
someone in need
- Consider supporting us through CSR schemes next year,
we have many options and love to work with other
businesses and sectors to reach clear goals and

Help us to ensure cancer isn’t the forgotten ‘C’.
In 2019 we had over 3500 visits to The Oasis, our cancer
support and wellbeing centre. In March 2020 we had to close
our doors - they are only open for limited hour drop in's and
appointments now, due to cancer patients still shielding.
Our Macmillan professionals created a new telephone
support service overnight, they created virtual support
sessions and are now offering a ‘community support service’
in people’s homes.
We will not allow people affected by cancer to feel isolated
and without access to emotional support and practical advice
at this time.
We will be there throughout.
We will always put our service users needs first.
Macmillan Jersey is available to support people from the
moment they are diagnosed (any cancer, any stage), and
just as importantly we support the wider family too.
