wines reflect the love that goes into our land, delivering richness and complexity into each glass. It all began over 60 years ago when the first vines were planted in a spot hand picked for its stony soils over the limestone base. Combine that with the warm embrace of a dry climate and generous sunshine, you have the perfect recipe for grape varieties bursting with flavour and resilience. Now, four generations on, the Byrne family crafts a diverse range of wines, including Chardonnay and Shiraz. 2024 AppassAussi Chardonnay The wine has a straw-yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, you will discover peach, almond, and citrus aromas, accompanied by a very subtle touch of oak. On the palate, it has good structure and remarkable length with a harmonious, mineral-based finish. A Chardonnay with character! Alcohol: 12,5% | Region: Riverland | Item no. 60166754 2022 AppassAussi Shiraz The deep red color with violet reflections is already impressive in the glass. The lush bouquet smells of red cherries, raspberries, herbs, and elegant oak. Soft tannins caress the palate before the wine finishes with fine spice and a beautiful finish. South Australia at its finest!! Alcohol: 14.0% | Region: Riverland | Item no. 60166755

ex Australia In 1906, Sidney Wilcox built the Mulyoulpko homestead, “home by the water,” while farming the land and supplying city markets. Today, the wines are crafted for fine dining — opulent, balanced, and food-friendly. Using the vine-dried Shiraz method, grapes are partially dried on the vine to intensify flavour and richness, creating a bold, distinctive style. Vine-Dried Shiraz Process Extended Hang Time: Grapes remain on the vine past normal ripening, naturally dehydrating. Partial Raisining: Berries shrivel slightly, boosting tannins and colour. Careful Monitoring: Winemakers balance richness with freshness. Harvest & Fermentation: Grapes are picked at peak concentration and fermented for bold, complex flavours. Aging: Partial oak maturation adds depth and smoothness. 2022 Sidney Wilcox Vine Dried Shiraz Produced using traditional drying methods, this Shiraz is velvety dark red in color, with aromas of dark fruits, spices, and chocolate. On the palate, it offers concentrated berry notes, cinnamon, and cloves, supported by silky tannins and balanced acidity. Full-bodied, smooth, and with a long, elegant finish—perfect with duck or beef Wellington. Alcohol: 15.5% | Region: Riverland | Item no. 16681040

ABOUT BYRNE VINEYARDS

In 1960, Eric and Romla Byrne purchased a property in the Devlin’s Pound area near Waikerie in South Australia where they planted a vineyard. Here began the Byrne family passion for wine and viticulture. This passion continues to thrive through their grand-daughter, Byrne CEO, Petria, and great-grandsons. During the 1970s, the Scotts Creek vineyard, where Byrne Vineyards now resides, was established by then owners, Penfold’s. The site was chosen due to its close proximity to the Barossa Valley, the excellent limestone soils and an ideal climate for premium wine production. The Byrne family acquired this property in 2001 and over the last few years have adopted innovative sustainability practices allowing water to be returned to the natural environment and preserving our wetlands.
