Dr. G. Subramaniam and Dr. M. Premalakshmi formed the M. G. Education and Health Care Charitable Trust in 1998. The trust apart from giving financial assistance to the underprivileged in various educational institutions started M. G. Public Matriculation Higher Secondary School in the year 2002 in a rented building at Bharathi Nagar. In 2005, the school was shifted to the present location with 7 acres and 11 cents of land. With the changing preferences and insistence from parents to educate their children in CBSE curriculum, M. G. Educational and Health Care Charitable Trust started M. G. Public School [CBSE] in the academic year 2016-17 as a primary school and now we are gradually moving to Senior Secondary School. Inspired by swami Vivekananda’s concept of ‘Man Making Education’. We care for children’s physical and mental wellbeing and give special attention to express every child’s individuality in a better way. As a part of holistic development of a child, M. G. offers a rich experience for children by offering value based education which inculcates confidence, intellectual curiosity, harmony, creativity to become renowned citizens of tomorrow.

What should a school ‘do’? Be? How can we build/create a good school and not a bad one? What should schools teach, and how? And how do we know if we’re doing it well? These are astoundingly important questions, every academician keeps thinking and we are no different. Maybe the first step in pursuit of an innovative and modern approach to teaching and learning might be to rethink the idea of curriculum as the core of learning models and not just stop with that. In this era of information access and smart clouds, the content the school teach is far inconsequential and so the school should rather prioritize to design individual learning pathways for each student and inspire them to tap the opportunities available to them. How can a school call itself ‘good’ when it produces students that don’t know themselves, the world, or their place in it? Here at MGPS we try to do exactly that, by facilitating the children to think, explore and learn not just the subjects but ethics, values and most importantly their own selves. Sports, games and extra-curricular activities motivate the child to be more social and it significantly plays an important role in developing a healthy EQ. We take great pride in calling our school a child friendly one which gives precedence to the child’s environment, and their happiness. Dr. S. HARSHAVARTHAN., M.B.B.S., M.S.[ENT] Correspondent
Education at M. G. goes beyond the letters in the page of a textbook. Here, we inspire our students towards “joyful learning”. Learning takes many forms at M. G. The challenge to be ‘the best you can be’ is supported by a holistic approach to learning. Our curriculum and practices are consistently reviewed and follows current trends. The classroom programmes are rich and engaging that allow every student access to an environment where they can participate and excel. We offer many clubs, sports and activities that our students can participate in. Many of our students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities that allow them the opportunity to grow at their own pace in a safe, nurturing environment. Our list of clubs, activities and other extracurricular offerings are broadened each year with a hope to have something that interests every student. The children who walk into the portals of M. G. will not just leave their school years but truly be prepared to face life challenges. We march our children ahead with ethos of moral values and principles. We pride ourselves to help them grow and develop into sensitive and responsible citizens of the future. “Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.” Dr. S.
