1. Burial Sentences 2, Word of Grace and Greetings 3. Hymn of Praise “Through all our changing scenes of life” 1. Through all the changing scenes of life, in trouble and in joy, the praises of my God shall still my heart and tongue employ. Of his deliv’rance I will boast, till all that are distressed, from my example comfort take and lay their griefs to rest. 2. O magnify the LORD with me, exalt his holy name; when in distress to him I called, he to my rescue came. The hosts of God encamp around the dwellings of the just; deliv’rance he affords to all who in his promise trust. 3. O taste and see that he is good; experience will decide how blest are they, and only they who in the LORD confide. Fear him, you saints, and you will then have nothing else to fear; make serving him your sole delight, your wants shall be his care. 4. Pastoral Prayer 5. Scripture Reading - Ecclesiastes 3: 1 - 8 3
1. For those we love within the veil, Who once were comrades of our way, We thank thee, Lord; for they have won To cloudless day. 2. And life for them is life indeed, The splendid goal of earth’s strait race; And where no shadows intervene They see thy face. 3. Free from the fret of mortal years, And knowing now thy perfect will, With quickened sense and heightened joy They serve thee still. 4. O fuller, sweeter is that life, And larger, ampler is the air; Eye cannot see nor heart conceive The glory there! 5. There are no tears within their eyes; With love they keep perpetual tryst; And praise and work and rest are one With thee, O Christ. 7. Scripture Reading - Revelations 21: 1 – 7 8. Reflections and Expressions (Selected few) 9. Selection “It is well with my soul” 1. When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, “It is well, it is well with my soul.” Refrain It is well with my soul; it is well, it is well with my soul. 4
let this blest assurance control: that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and has shed his own blood for my soul. Refrain 3. My sin oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! my sin, not in part, but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more; praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! Refrain 4. O Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend; even so, it is well with my soul. Refrain 10. Message of Hope (Address) 11. Solo 12. Special Prayers for the family 13. The Commendation & Closing Prayer 14. Recessional Hymn “When we all get to heaven” 1. Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace; In the mansions bright and blessed He’ll prepare for us a place. Refrain: When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory! 5
Clouds will overspread the sky; But when trav’ling days are over Not a shadow, not a sigh. Refrain 3. Let us then be true and faithful, Trusting, serving ev’ry day; Just one glimpse of Him in glory Will the toils of life repay. Refrain 4. Onward to the prize before us! Soon His beauty we’ll behold; Soon the pearly gates will open– We shall tread the streets of gold Refrain At The Graveside 1. Burial Sentences 2. Committal For as much as it has pleased Almighty God to take out of this world the soul of Elizabeth Monica Betty Timbo-Jalloh , we therefore commit her body to the ground, earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, looking for that blessed hope when the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord, wherefore comfort ye one another with these words. 8
1. Abide with me: fast falls the eventide; the darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide. When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me. 2. Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day; earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away. Change and decay in all around I see. O thou who changest not, abide with me. 3. I need thy presence every passing hour. What but thy grace can foil the tempter’s power? Who like thyself my guide and strength can be? Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me. 4. 5. I fear no foe with thee at hand to bless, ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness. Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if thou abide with me. Hold thou thy cross before my closing eyes. Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies. Heaven’s morning breaks and earth’s vain shadows flee; in life, in death, O Lord, abide with me. 4. Prayers 5. The Grace REPASS - Church Hall after service 9
