Please communicate with facilitators Extra-mural Activities It is expected that learners are actively involved in our Extra-mural Programme which runs during the first three terms. The Extra-mural Programme helps us to develop the learner holistically. Learners can do a minimum of ONE activity per week. ➢ Extra-mural activities change every term. ➢ Some sporting codes are seasonal.
The following constitutes a serious breach of school rules: • Smoking on or off the school premises • Absence from school without parent’s permission • Theft committed at or outside school • Open defiance of educator’s or non-educator’s authority • Vandalism to school property (Parents will have to pay for the repairs) • Excessive aggressive behaviour. (This will be dealt with by the Disciplinary Committee and may lead to suspension or expulsion. • Late coming • Absence without producing a letter or medical certificate • Running or playing on stoeps, playing between teacher’s cars and playing in the classrooms • Play fighting or serious fighting • Disobeying the prefects or the scholar patrol • Bringing toys to school, knives or sharp objects (unless asked for by the teacher) • Chewing of chewing gum / bubblegum • Wearing casual clothes only on Civvies days • Playing in areas not allowed, e.g. the Grade R play park • Disregarding the pedestrian crossing when crossing First Road • Leaving the school without permission from the teacher or the office • Cell phones not allowed –for calls purchase a phone card for the public phone in the admin block at school

Names to be accompanied by Type and Nature of offence. Disciplinary Committee – to keep a regular register in order to monitor and assist with class discipline. 5. Parents will be notified with a standard letter. 6. In the letter – Nature of offence and Date of detention to be specified. 7. Letter sent by Wednesday in order for parents to make necessary arrangements for transport, Mosque, where necessary. PARENTS’ ROLE: a) Reply slip to be signed by parents and returned by Friday. b) Parents to see the Disciplinary Committee if learner regularly (3 times) attends Detention for the same offence. c) Parents to account for non-attendance by learner.
