Bournemouth University has a significant minority of Black or Minority Ethnic (BAME) staff members, with 184 employees identifying as such. The staff survey revealed that there is a need to enhance staff awareness and competencies to embrace diversity effectively.
25% of Bournemouth University students identify as Black or Minority Ethnic, with the largest subgroup being Asian. The student survey indicated that the ethnic/racial diversity of the university positively impacts the sense of belonging for 73% of BAME students.
