The first semester of the academic year 2023-2024 at the College of Forestry witnessed the outstanding achievement of Forester Mikaella Gabrielle Allas Esquejo, who secured a top ten spot in the Professional Forester Licensure Examination. Along with 39 other passers, Esquejo showcased exceptional performance with an overall rating of 89.95 percent. Her success was attributed to organized files, stock knowledge, and a deep understanding of concepts.
Celebrating the success of its graduates, the College of Forestry proudly announced the licensure of 40 new Forestry professionals, including notable individuals like Mr. Shallum Balangyao and Ms. Stephanie Suzanne Valdez. Mr. Balangyao shared insights into his exam preparation journey, emphasizing the importance of retaining knowledge and having a supportive community. Ms. Valdez also reflected on her pre-exam anxiety and the significance of consistent reading and group reviews.
The academic year 2023-2024 saw a significant increase in enrollment at the College of Forestry, with a total of 399 students, including freshmen, continuing students, and Master's Degree Program participants. This surge in enrollment marked a notable growth compared to previous years, reflecting the growing interest in Forestry education. The College offered a range of courses focusing on areas like watershed management, geospatial science, and surveying.
